We close yet another week with Eight races scheduled at the new Belmont Park. I will be condensing my plays down to just the numbers and attacking the early double starting in R2 (Races 1 & 2) and a spot pick 3 (Races 3-5). I'm drawing a line through (6) FRENCHQUARTER NOTE's last race as he didn't look prepared to run. They go to Prat today, and I'm guessing we see his debut race with a little improvement. If he gets away clean, they will be tough to reel in.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 6:
(4) LUCK PENNY is one of the speeds and picks up Prat. This one becomes dangerous if they can shake loose early. (5) PERFECT PENELOPE has Clement and Manny for her debut. They can have her win early. (10) SLINGING SLASHER is the wild card in here. She made up some ground against a good-looking Forecheck in her maiden voyage. I want (11) KINBOSHI in this spot. She finished behind two next-out winners, and she appears to be next. Davis can stalk outside and make a sweeping run turning for home.

Race 7:
(3) RED STATE looms large here. Manny gives this guy a try as they go out for the first time after the Cox claim. He's burned money as a heavy favorite in his last two, but he's in a new barn today. (7) CELESTIAL GLAZE and (8) SEEKER'S HOPE are the two wise guys for me. Both have some speed, and I'm guessing one of them will try to wire them. If they both hook up, that only helps Red get there.

Race 8:
(4) DOVER STREET exits the G2 Pilgrim where he wasn't that far from Let Em Know. That also was his US debut. (8) BRING CASH also finished behind Let Em in his first start. Now moves back to turf. (11) SUSPEND has the highest speed figure of the group and also moves to the grass. Jose takes over. (13) CAPTAIN G draws in and was in with Suspend two back and did not have a great trip. Clear sailing helps with these wide turns here.
