Belmont: Sunday 10/11 Plays R9 - Pete's Picks
Nine races on this rainy Sunday from Belmont Park. I will be condensing my plays down to just the numbers and attacking the early double (Races 1 & 2) and a spot pick 3 (Races 4-6). Big Pete will attack his "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 7-9). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.
Little Pete's $ 5.00 Early Double:
R1: 2, 6
R2: 2 Cost: $ 10.00
Little Pete's $ 1.00 Spot Pick 3:
R4: 1, 4
R5: 2, 8, 11, 12
R6: 2, 4 Cost: $ 16.00
Big Pete's $ 1.00 Late Pick 3:
R7: 1, 4, 6
R8: 5, 6, 9
R9: 2, 5, 9 Cost: $ 27.00
Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 3:
(4) TAP RULES got a good education in his debut race. Manny returns and will set up shop again just off the speeds. He'll let him loose turning for home and pick them up late.
I’ll use (2) Karsten and (6) Valentine Crusader underneath for the exacta.
$ 7.00 WPS 4 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex Box 2, 4, 6 Cost $ 18.00
We’ll also use (4) Tap Rules in R3 and try to cash in on a Daily Double.
(1) Consensus View and (4) Lisa Joy in R4 look good.
$ 7.00 Daily Double 4 w/ 1, 4 Cost $ 14.00
Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 7:
(6) CLAP BACK is one of several in here that want or need the lead. She can take them a long way without other pressure. (1) OUR PREFERRED PAL is 1 for 19 but has six 2nd place finishes. This is the shortest he's traveled in a while. That should help him get over that place finish. I want (4) MOBELLADREAM here. He must get some help up front, and I think he gets it.
$ 7.00 WPS 4 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex Box 1, 4, 6 Cost $ 18.00
Race 8:
(6) KUHNER and (9) PRINTER'S ALLEY are two of the main speeds. They both are cutting back and will try to shake loose early. If one can, they become dangerous. If not, that sets up nicely for (5) MOZAMBIQUE. He likes to set up mid-pack and make that late run. Today looks to be his day as Rudy finally broke his maiden.
$ 7.00 WPS 5 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex 5, 6, 9 Cost $ 18.00
Race 9:
(9) PRIME RANGER showed speed in his debut but couldn't handle the two turns. Cuts back here and picks up Castellano. (2) PERETTI is the main speed and will save ground. He looks the part to wire this field. (5) CUBAN COWBOY is dropping several levels here. If the pace heats up, this race figures to set up perfectly for this guy.
