A chill is still in the air on this Thursday action from the Big A. I will be condensing my plays down to just the numbers and attacking the early double. (Races 1 & 2) and a middle double (Races 4-5) with only 7 races carded for today. Big Pete will attack his "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 5-7). Race 3:

(6) BIG DIG has already finished ahead of a couple of these and the farther the better for this Mor Spirit. Sharp has 10 out of 17 in the money finishes so far as Manny gets a 2nd chance after shipping in last time. There's enough speed signed on and they can set up shop just off the lead before mounting a run.

I’ll use (3) Royal Bobbie and (4) Pam Pam to hang on underneath for the exacta.

We’ll also use (6) Big Dig in R3 and try to cash in on a Daily Double.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 5:

(3) PLAY looks to have enough speed to get to the front and try to steal it. Stewie runs fast in the mud, so a dry track may slow him down today. He might be able to shake loose. (1) TEN CENT TOWN will offer some pressure but the rail may force his hand too soon. The break will be important as always. I can't resist Prat getting on (5) RAVIN'S RANSOM today. I'm not sure what happened last time but Abreu didn't like it and Flavien shows up. He sports several speed figures that stack up well against these.

Race 6:

Both (3) CARVELLIAN QUEST and (5) COCKTAILSNKRINGLE will hustle away eary to create havoc up front. They and Fort Nelson will keep the pace honest. I'm playing this race to fall apart late and look for (4) WHISKEY N SODA to make the last move and catch them late. Civaci tried to run them down late be he may have missed timed it or the competition was slightly better or a combination. Today he gets a nice set up to enhance his closing kick.

Race 7:

(1) CELESLIA showed some speed in her debut and managed to pick up a check. They cut back slightly and grab the rail with the far turn coming up quicker, she figures to save all the ground. (5) BENGALES is trying the dirt again. She was a distance 4th in her lone attempt in the mud. She drops to the basement and that always helps. The first time starter, (8) COVERT AFFAIR may take some action for Handal. Gets L1 and sports back to back bullets for this. Why they choose a MCL 20k for her debut is the only concern. Damaged goods??? We'll use defensively as this field is not very good. I'll throw in (4) COMBATANT'S SONG because Manny returns for another chance with this filly.
