Nine races scheduled for wet day at Belmont at the Big A. I will be condensing my plays down to just the numbers and attacking the early double (Races 1 & 2) and a spot pick 3 (Races 4-6). Big Pete will attack his "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 7-9). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 3:
Cheap claimers go this one turn mile and I couldn't get past the favorite. (5) POCKET QUEENS has the speed figures to dominate this group if she's sound. Some of these probably don't win again as Clement drops this one in for a tag. The off track shouldn't matter so we'll look underneath for some value.
I’ll use (1) Shezanarticqueen and (8) Calling An Audible underneath for the exacta.

We’ll also use (5) Pocket Queens in R3 and try to cash in on a Daily Double.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 7:
Dutrow leaves in this Frosted filly, (7) BROKEALLTHERULES on the surface switch. She handled the dirt in her last and they attract Prat for this. They are all looking for their 2nd win and several in here have been trying that for a long time. She's lightly raced and looks dangerous. She's the one to beat, but I want to take a shot with (11) AMELIA'S ECHO who ships in to join the Kantarmaci barn. I think the off track may move this Echo Town filly up. Echo was a mudder, as well as her mom. Franco gets the call. Both (9) HEAVENS LEE and (10) SARIR will take some action on the surface switch. We'll include both as a saver.

Race 8:
(10) COMMUTED is one of the speeds that can shake loose and hope that the track can carry him far. Prat probably won't let him get too far away with (9) VIBRANT EXPRESS close by. Look for these two to try and win it off the turn. I'm thinking they will have company though, and I'll look for the late runners to come and catch them. (8) LIGHT MAN needs to make up three lengths on Express as they hooked up last time and lost by that much. He might get help up front this time. I think (4) MENTEE is back to his 2024 form. He was facing the best 2-year-olds back then before going on the bench. He missed his 3-year-old season and has had two races this year to find his stride. The switch back to dirt is probably what they were looking for here. Johnny V reunites with this guy, and with Stay Thirsty underneath, the wet track should not matter.

Race 9:
(4) MILITARY ROAD has hit the board 15 out of 17 times in his career. That is impressive, and we must use him for that reason alone. There appears to be a lot of speed entered here, and that might not help him today. (3) AWESOME EMPIRE and Santana will likely sit right behind all that speed and make their move turning for home. Keep an eye on how this track is playing with speed. If it's carrying runners, then Awesome could be awesome. If closers are coming late, then I want (5) AMBITION in this spot. This Street Sense ran his best race with some moisture in the track, and Elliot was up that day. All in if the track is playing fair.
