Nine races scheduled on this wet Memorial Day at Belmont at the Big A. I will be condensing my plays down to just the numbers and attacking the early double (Races 1 & 2) and a spot pick 3 (Races 4-6). Big Pete will attack his "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 7-9). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 3:
We move to the dirt for this 6F claiming race and Rice again, looks strong as she puts her runners in the right spots. (9) BASEBALL LADY was a decent 2nd at this level two back and now faces off the turf runners. She can stalk the rail filly who has some speed or go from out there and try to wire them.
I’ll use (1) Twirling Lulu and (8) Leslie Star underneath for the exacta.

We’ll also use (9) Baseball Lady in R3 and try to cash in on a Daily Double.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 7:
Rice rarely leaves two runners in the same race but today she runs them both. With (8) SNIDE outside, Franco can stalk or press forward depending on what happens to all the runners to his left. My guess is he'll be aggressive and try to save ground and make the speeds go with him. They can help set up stablemate, (5) MURSAL who can sit chilly and come with her run late. She needs the speed to back up. The danger to both is the shipper (1) SWEAT LAURA. She jogged last time for Ness and meets similar company. Her dad liked an off track in his day and she has hit the board in all three starts on a wet track. She's probably the one to beat.

Race 8:
(6) TIZMARKUS returns to the Big A after shipping to Oaklawn to pick up a check. He reunites with Jose as these two jogged three back. They should be able to get this 1M, one turn and be a major contender. (2) PASSIONED is the possible lone speed in here. Look for him to jump out early and try to control it. The rest could be in trouble if they give him a breather down the back stretch. With Lucky Dude coming out, the race looks wide open. I'll focus on the above two and throw in savors with the two Kantarmaci geldings, (1) SHARP SPARK and (5) REGISTER.

Race 9:
Three of my top picks are staying in the barn in this off the turf finale. That leaves me with (6) READY SET TWIRL as my choice. He cuts back to sprinting and has the last out best speed figure in here. You have to look past his 1 for 17 record as they all have struggled to get win number 2. I'll toss in two others as this race has come up as a head scratcher moving to the dirt. (2) GUILTY and (7) SLAY SADIE SLAY have the two most experienced jockeys up as I can't find any other reason to like them or the rest of the field.
