Eight races for this Wednesday at the Spa. Alabama week starts off with Eight scheduled and looks like perfect weather. I will be condensing my plays down to just the numbers and attacking the early double starting in R2 (Races 1 & 2) and a spot pick 3 (Races 3-5). Big Pete will attack his "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 6-8). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.

Race 3:
I can't see how (7) HOT GOSSIP goes off at her ML odds (4:1) RIce and Manny have been lighting it up recently and the barn keeps a rabbit in to juice up the pace. She rarely runs two in a race so front runners beware. Manny just sits back and wait for them to back up. Jose will try to get first jump on them but will need to hold them off.
I’ll use (4) Cravings and (6) L'Eclair underneath for the exacta.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 6:
(3) DISCOTHEQUE has hit the board in all 4 Spa races. She is possibly the lone speed with Saez in control. That's dangerous for this group, so I'll look to wire this group. Both (5) SOUTH BEND TOM and (6) BIG GAIN have a late kick that will show up late. I'm looking for it to be too late.

Race 7:
(7) SHE'S COUNTRY switches to Manny as Weaver brings her back for her 2026 debut. She may need a race, so I'll follow Castellano, who chooses (5) CELTIC DAWN over Country. Her sprint two back would make her tough in here, so the slight cutback may help her from her last race. It seems that the winner should be one of them, IMO, but I'll use the maiden (3) MORNING PRAYER as she comes home fast but usually comes up short. There's plenty of speed signed on to give her a chance to reel them in.

Race 8:
(3) PAULA'S CHOICE is dropping, adding L1 and picking up Jose. Is it too obvious? A must use for me. (5) BOUNDING ALONG and (10) ROASTED REDS have a race that put them right there. Prat chooses Bounding Along but Reds picks up Manny. Either make sense. (9) TWO CLICKS has speed to be dangerous if they leave her alone up front.
