Hot weather comes back as does the potential for downpours. We'll skip the first and start with race 2. I will be condensing my plays down to just the number and attacking the early double starting in R2 (Races 2 & 3) and a spot pick 3 (Races 4-6). Big Pete will attack his "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 7-9). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.

Race 4:
(5) GUN PARTY ships in for Asmussen who is quietly having a nice meet. His last three figures have been his best and Jose stays up. A lot to like today.
I’ll use (2) Sheriff Bianco and (6) Stowaway in the exacta.

Race 7:
(7) MELLE MEL looks strong on the drop as they gave her a public workout during the Belmont Stakes week and kept her here since. The works look sharp and Santana doesn't hurt with the streak he's on. I'll only include one saver with the scratch of She's Complicated. (8) SPIRIT OF ESTHER has been on the improve in her last couple of races. She showed speed on the grass two back and then came from off the pace when she broke tardy last time. If she can get away cleanly, she can make it interesting on this cutback to 6.5F.

Race 8:
(5) BOSTON'S PHINEST may have inherited the lead with some scratches. If she gets cozy up front, they may have trouble reeling her in. (1) DISCO STAR will be the first to make a move on the leader. The inside draw will help save some ground to be a factor later. (8) NONNA LYNNE is the one to fear. She won easily beating maidens last time, and I'm not so sure that she's facing much better first time against winners. If this price holds, I'm all in.

Race 9:
(4) BINT MISCHIEF and (10) LIT SHIP are first-timers with some decent breeding and the right connections to come out running. We'll include both. The two with experience, (6) DELIGHTFUL DARLING and (9) TWO BITS come out of the same race where both ran well enough to improve this time out.
