Fast and firm to start this Thursday action from the Spa. I will be condensing my plays down to just the number and attacking the early double (Races 1 & 2) and a spot pick 3 (Races 5-7). Big Pete will attack two "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 8-10); GOOD LUCK.

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 3:

Golden Degree will take a lot of action so the price on (2) TALKIN IN CURSIVE should hold up. Manny stays aboard as they cut back to his best distance and drops back in to the right level. A similar run two back puts them right there.

We'll use (2) Takin In Cursive in R3 and try to cash in on a Daily Double.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 8:

(6) IRON DOME figures to draw most of the attention with his blowout win last time. A must-use to take them all the way. (3) AELFGAR has been on a roll since they stretched him out. He draws inside to save some ground and can mount a charge late. I want to try a wise guy pick and put (8) TOGA DAN on top. Prat has been making steady improvements with this guy, and the 9F seems perfect. They will stalk the pace and get first jump on the closers.

Race 9:

(5) INSUBORDINATION has some stakes class and drops slightly today. The 1M is the only question. (6) CYCLONITE is interesting for Casse as he picks up checks most of the time, and Santana is riding well. (10) CANDYTOWN broke his maiden impressively last time, and I can't let Pletcher and Saez sneak one in here at 8:1 ML. He's worth a shot at that number. (11) WINNEBAGO comes in off the AE list, and somehow Irad becomes available with the scratch. This one could be live.

Race 10:

(5) ALITTLEBIT NAUGHTY was shipped out of town for Rice to try open company and, not surprisingly, they bring her back to the NY Breds. She also drops slightly, which should make her tough against this group. (8) PRINCESS SUMMER has two solid races this year, and now they put Irad up. All systems go for this Maker-trained filly. Both (2) SARATOGA SNOW and (7) SOHO NIGHTS have a race or two that make them contenders.
