We have 11 races to end Whitney week this Sunday at the Spa. I will be condensing my plays down to just the number and attacking the early double (Races 1 & 2) and a spot pick 3 (Races 6-8). Big Pete will attack two "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 9-11); GOOD LUCK.

Little Pete's $ 5.00 Early Double:

R1: 1, 2

R2: 1, 3 Cost: $ 20.00

Little Pete's $ 1.00 Spot Pick 3:

R6: 1, 2, 10

R7: 1, 5, 7

R8: 2, 3, 7 Cost: $ 27.00

Big Pete's $ 1.00 Late Pick 3:

R9: 2, 6, 8

R10: 1, 3, 5, 8

R11: 5, 7, 9, 10 Cost: $ 48.00

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 3:

(10) BELLE CHERIE came off the bench to score a 2nd place finish against similar last month. Prat stays aboard and gets help with some of the scratches. She can control or stalk the speed so the break might set that up. We'll look for value underneath to juice up the price.

$ 7.00 WPS 3 Cost: $ 21.00

$ 10.00 Ex 3 w/ 8, 9 Cost: $ 20.00

We'll use (10) Belle Cherie R3 and try to cash in on a Daily Double.

(1) Classic Rock or (2) Main Thing in the 4th.

$ 7.00 Daily Double 10 w/ 1, 3 Cost $ 14.00

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 5:

(6) CARPET CITY Is coming in with a hot barn and Irad stays here instead of opting for the Pletcher AE entrant. The workouts say she's ready with two bullet gate moves. Bred to like grass so 8:1ML is very appealing to me. We'll toss in some big prices with turf pedigree to try to catch a nice exacta.

$ 7.00 WPS 6 Cost: $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex Box 5, 6, 11 Cost: $ 18.00

We'll use (6) Carpet City in R5 and try to cash in on a Daily Double.

(2) Printer's Alley or (10) I can See That in the 6th.

$ 5.00 Daily Double 6 w/ 2, 10 Cost $ 10.00

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 9:

(2) MO FOR THE KING has hit the board in most of his state-bred races. He usually shows up and every so often hits a high-speed figure. We're looking for today to be that day. (6) MAX MONEY is two for two with medication, and they keep him on it today. Santana will be aggressive and position him on or just off the lead and get the first jump on the closers. I like a closer to come late with several speeds signed on. (8) EMPIRE SKY ships in and brings his jockey with him. They tried this move back in October and got the show dough. The horse must be in good form for them to make this trip to the Spa, as they must think he has a shot today.

$ 7.00 WPS 8 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex Box 2, 6, 8 Cost $ 18.00

Race 10:

(3) OUTSOURCE put in a nice rally to get 2nd against this level, and (5) CIAO CHUCK did similarly two back. Both have a race that makes them a player in here. I like one with speed and the other with a closing kick to get this one. If Prat can settle (8) HARD CIRCLE into a nice stride early, he can take them a long way. The closer is (1) THE PADDOCK PASTOR who picks up Jose for the ride. That makes a big difference here, and I'll lean more on him to time it right.

$ 7.00 WPS 1 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 1, 8 w/ 1, 3, 5, 8 Cost $ 18.00

Race 11:

(9) BOSUN and (7) GRUNGE have stalking styles that put them in the mix through the lane. Either one can get the trip that makes them get their picture taken. (5) MISSION IMPROBABLE is where I landed, but he'll need some help. He wants the pace to be hot, and I'm guessing it will be. Santana has to time it right. One of the speeds will come from (10) ORTLEY AVENUE, who has the speed but has to clear off early to save ground. He might have to use some energy early to get there.

$ 7.00 WPS 5 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 5, 7 w/ 5, 7, 9, 10 Cost $ 18.00
