Fast and firm to start this Sunday after the Travers hangover. Some possible weather during the card so keep an eye on the sky. I will be condensing my plays down to just the number and attacking the early double (Races 1 & 2) and a spot pick 3 (Races 5-7). Big Pete will attack two "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 8-10); GOOD LUCK.
Little Pete's $ 5.00 Early Double:
R1: 1, 2
R2: 7, 12 Cost: $ 20.00
Little Pete's $ 1.00 Spot Pick 3:
R5: 5, 10, 11
R6: 4, 5, 6, 7
R7: 2, 4, 6, 9 Cost: $ 48.00
Big Pete's $ 7.00 Late Pick 3:
R8: 6
R9: 8
R10: 1, 3, 6, 7 Cost: $ 28.00
Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 3:
(6) MAN IN FINANCE has been off since November, but his morning routine leading up to this has been sharp. Several bullets and a suspect field bode well for this Central Banker to make his 2025 debut a good one. Rosario will try to steal it with Crescendo's Rein, but Carmouche will keep the Man close enough to run that one down late.
$ 7.00 WPS 6 Cost: $ 21.00
$ 7.00 Ex 6 w/ 5, 7 Cost: $ 14.00
We'll use (6) Man In Finance in R3 and try to cash in on a Daily Double.
(5) Fleetingly or (10) Speed Shopper in the 4th.
$ 7.00 Daily Double 6 w/ 5, 10 Cost $ 14.00
Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 8:
(6) RHETORICAL wins easy if this stays on the grass. I'll look for Bettrluckythangood to come late for the cold exacta.
Both (8) BANK FRENZY and (11) LOCKE AND KEY look strong if the rain comes.
$ 15.00 Exacta 6 w/ 3 Cost: $ 15.00
$ 3.00 Ex 8, 11 w/ 8, 11, 12, 13 Cost: $ 18.00 ( Off the turf )
Race 9:
(8) SENZA PAROLE will be odds-on, and I'm not trying to beat her. She jogged in her debut, and the speed figure is too much for the rest of the field to match. She just needs to show up and run that last race. Luis will try to sneak away with Claire's Run and hope that Irad isn't paying attention.
$ 15.00 Ex 8 w/ 3 Cost: $ 15.00
Race 10:
(1) GATSBY is fresh off the claim for Atras, and he sends out an uncoupled entry with (3) TAKESCHARGESMILING. One may be a rabbit, and the other will come late. I'll try to win it with some closers. (7) MACAW has been facing better, and they drop him slightly. I'll land on (6) TETSU, the wise guy pick, as this 9-year-old continues to improve as he makes his 3rd start here at the Spa. It's Jose's 3rd time up as well, so both look to make it the 3rd time's the charm play.
