Fast and firm once again for this Sunday at the August place to be. I will be condensing my plays down to just the number and attacking the early double (Races 1 & 2) and a spot pick 3 (Races 5-7). Big Pete will attack two "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 8-10); GOOD LUCK.

Race 4:
Brown ships two colt in from Jersey with similar maiden wins. Mid pack early and make a run late. More of the same today as I prefer (3) WISE UP over New Magic. This guy has already faced winners and looks to be sitting on one. They meet a suspect field where they all have had several chances at this level.

Race 8:
(2) MY SWEETHEART is riding this hot barn's wave right now as Casse moves this filly back to the turf and gives Jose a leg up. They should be forward and moving quickly. Weaver has a nice one in (4) CY FAIR. Impressive maiden score puts her in the mix as a must-use. The two wise gals are outside. Both (6) SACRED GOODESS and (8) BRAMBLE BLAST look strong via the connections. Englehart steals Irad from Pletcher and Dini is bringing in live runners.

Race 9:
(2) ANNEXPERIENCE will take some action as Englehart is having a solid meet with limited runners. They add L1 off a dominant maiden win. May have found the right bunch for the first time against winners. (1) ZAPRUDER will take back and make a late run. Irad will have to keep an eye on the front end to see if any pressure is applied. If not, he'll need to start his run earlier or Ann is gone. (6) THE PADDOCK PASTOR is the sleeper. He moves back in against fellow NY Breds and gets Frankie. He has two races at this level that stack up well if they time it right.

Race 10:
(3) SERGEANT CAPPS has attracted Irad's attention, so that's all I need. He also drops slightly. (8) SPORTS HERO has several speed figures that would win this. Jose getting the call also helps his cause. (10) SECURED LENDER has been facing better, and they drop him way down. That works in both ways as easier company, but why the drop??? I'll use but try to beat. (7) VOLT is the wise guy pick from a hot barn.
