Jim Dandy day at Saratoga and the weather will be suspect. The skies may open up today so you may have to make adjustments. We have a 12 race card today and we will be looking to cover as many as we can. I will be focused on the early double (Races 1 & 2) and taking down a spot pick 3 (Races 7-9). Big Pete will be locked into a couple of his "Plays of the Day" as well as the late pick 3 (Races 10-12). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.

Race 3:
(11) WAR TERMINATOR was caught behind the front runner, Hatch, when making his bid two back against this level. Then tried better next out and ran ok. Now he picks up Irad and breaks outside dropping back down to this level. 9:2ML would be a gift as he'll stalk and come late.
Either (3) Hatch hanging on or (6) Carpe's Dream coming late for the 2nd spot.

Race 5:
Brown will take a lot of money with Good Sam and the scratch of Tizzy In The Sky only makes her stronger. I'm looking for others to put some pressure on Sam and help set up (6) STERLING SILVER in this spot. She is the stalker type and will wait for Castellano's signal to mount a late charge. Hopefully, some pace sets up early to give Silver a target. She is in top form right now and just missed the G2 Prioress here last year.
(4) Ontheonesandtwos or (7) Good Sam to hang on for 2nd.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 10:
Angel Of Empire has been knocking on the door all year and I have been a fan, but he has not improved much while the others have. (4) SAUDI CROWN is scary good. With only 3 starts, he’s a nose shy of 3 for 3. He gets his regular rider back and should be all alone up the back stretch. This will be his advantage to control it early and start running late. He'll be tough to pass if they let him go without pressure. (2) FORTE is getting a lot of chatter about the blinker addition. I'm not buying it but he is a contender with or without them. If he brings his A game today, that puts him in the conversation to win it. I can't ignore the switch to Saez on (3) HIT SHOW. He's built for this 9F one lap around the Spa. He likely gets first jump on the two closers and has the staying power to hold them off.

Race 11:
(7) KERRY is interesting on the front end. This Practical Joke cuts back to sprinting and has some speed. Saez will likely go with this filly and bottom out the field. I'm all in. (9) ACT OF CONGRESS will try to go with Kerry as well. I think she has to settle in just behind her and try to wheel her in late. They could go all the way around and no one catches them. (8) BUSY MORNING and (10) SIKUM have similar stalking/closer styles and will need the front runners to soften themselves out. If that happens, either can work out a trip to make it interesting.

Race 12:
We’ll finish the late Pick 3 with a marathon on Jim Dandy day. It's scheduled for turf but the skies may open up late. (3) TAWARET, (5) CALLIE'S GRIT, (9) FIZZY and (10 SRI LANKA are the turf selections. I'll lean more on (5) CALLIE'S GRIT to work out the trip as this filly has posted some high speed figures compared to this group. Saez on the re-ride is key.
If dirt comes into play, the three outside MTO's should be tough. (13) DUKE'S GIRL is the lone MTO and Brown should be tough with this Street Sense filly if they get their wish for rain later.
