The Friday before the Belmont at the Spa. We have three G1's and a G2 to kick off this Belmont Festival weekend. I will be attacking the early double (Races 1 & 2) and a spot pick 3 (Races 7-9). Big Pete will attack his "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 10-12). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.

Race 3:
Two turns on the turf in this starter allowance. Rice claimed (6) YO DADDY after a nice win on the dirt and now puts him on the turf. His speed figure stacks up well with this group and he go to jock for this stable is named. He looks live to give them a return on their investment.
I’ll use with (4) Victors Valiant, (8) Lord Flintshire or (9) Mo Rewards for the runner up spot.

Race 5:
Script cutting back on the turf is a little scary but I don't like the post draw for him as he may get shuffled back. I do like the outside draw for (11) FLUID SITUATION though. Jose is a nice addition as they teamed up back in October to beat similar. He goes back on L for this and will likely stalk and get first jump on the deep closers.

Race 7:
I am not going to overthink this one and go with what will be the heavy favorite come post time, (4) Munny Gold. This horse has been on the shelf since last year, but training extremely well and should be able to handle this "weaker" group today. I like a couple of horses underneath to catch for second, but NOT OVERTHINKING.

Race 8:
(1A) Contrary Thinking looks prepped to handle the class jump here and I think the speed in here will set this one up for a nice closing drive late. (12) Jefferson Street has faced winners before and the outside draw will help this horse break clean. I like the thought of Junior Alvarado late down the stretch with a horse on the lead. (4) Radio Red is a horse I believe to be forwardly placed as well and should be able to navigate a nice rail trip throughout. That ground saving could pay off late with a trip to the winner's circle. My last play will be (11) Sesame Seed Bagel who is getting Gaffalione back aboard and should be ridden aggressively early. I know we got some rain yesterday, but the track is playing pretty fast. I think it is worth the investment at the expected price this one should go off at.

Race 9:
Off the bench and into the winner circle with (2) Kaufymaker! This horse has SPEED any is flying in the morning. I love Luis Saez LOOSE on the lead early with the favorable post position and be able to run these players for everything they have. With that said, this is a sprint on grass and can be lost at the gate so going to spread a bit more. (6) Roses for Debra is the logical horse here and will get plenty of attention from the betters. My last two will be (4) Lady Milagro and (8) Gal in a Rush who I think will be up there early and could navigate a nice trip.

Race 10:
(4) COPPICE is the new shooter for Brown as he saddles FIVE in this Just A Game G1. Frankie just missed as he may have been too confident on him last time. All business today as I expect they will put on a show today. They prbably will have to catch (2) BEAUTE CACHEE. She's possible lone speed and shortens up a bit. (6) CHILI FLAG looks to be getting better at 5yrs old. Irad is tough to leave off your ticket.

Race 11:
(2) ENGLISH ROSE has had some more time to acclimate herself in the states. Appleby usually comes to play when he shows up for these big races. Regular rider flies in again. The other Euro, (5) AMERICAN SONJA is a nice 10:1ML that ran ok here when they shipped in last year. Gets Frankie take the mount. (6) FEV ROVER is working well and looks dangerous with Castellano. (3) DIDIA will take some money as she ships west for this.

Race 12:
(9) THORPEDO ANNA has done nothing wrong and is a must play. She dominated in the Oaks ands looks solid once again. (4) JUST F Y I settled for 2nd that day but gets a dry track today. Same could be said for (3) LESLIE ROSE as she didn't lift a hoof in the slop last time. I'm drawing a line through that race and looking for her to bounce back. (8) GUN SONG is the new girl on the block. She dominated in Pimlico and she looks to be able to run all day. Johnny V is on fire and the price is too hard to pass up.
