Friday racing at Saratoga and we are looking to improve the bankroll headed into the weekend. I will be condensing my plays to only include the number, and look to take down the early double (Races 1 & 2) and a spot pick 3 (Races 5-7). Big Pete will be locked in to taking down a couple of his "Plays of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 8-10). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 3:
The 9F is the key in this Optional Alw as most of these don't want to go this far. (4) The Reds can run all day but he usually leaves himself with a lot to do dropping back and then coming with a run. That's why I landed on the rail runner (2) ALEJANDRO. He figures to save ground and Castellano will likely use that rail to his advantage and grab the lead going into the first turn. If he settles this Curlin on the lead, they likely don't catch him.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 8:
Cox has brought back (7) BONNY SOUTH slowly in 2022 and may have been planning to have her ready for the Spa. She's been facing the better mares her whole career and has the numbers that stack up well here. (3) ENVOUTANTE struggles against G1 material but usually shows up in Stakes races like this. She gets a new rider and has been breezing fast here all summer. (1) ARMY WIFE gets the rail and ra well here last year. She ships in with some fast speed figures and they will have to deal with her late.

Race 9:
This one looks wide open as the favorite is pegged at 3:1. (5) ROSEMARY POTATOES will offer a late threat in here. She was gaining on Radiant Gem two back and is looking to turn the table on that one. Jr stays for a re-ride as they ran ok last time on this course. (2) RADIANT GEM put together back to back wins with Johnny V up and then ran into trouble last time. She likes to be close to the front and get first jump on the closers. (4) VINTAGE GIRL is fresh off the claim and finished right behind the two two mentioned above. I know Rudy is struggling but he gives the reigns to Saez and he makes a difference in these closely matched races.

Race 10:
(3) OXYMORE is the horse to beat. He jogged in his debut and ran faster then all of them in here. A clean break is probably all he needs to carry them all the way. (2) FADETHENOISE put it all together when they moved him to the turf. This is where I landed as Prat takes over. The "other" Brown, (8) APPRAISE, looks just as dangerous as his stable mate. He too won first asking and will be better odds. (6) NOBLE HUNTSMAN won easy against NY Bred and tries open company. He's bred to love sprinting on the turf so that 12:1 ML looks awfully nice.
