We are ready to roll headed into the last weekend of July and we have a nice 10 race card. I will be looking to take down the early double (Races 1 & 2) and a spot pick 3 (Races 5-7). Big Pete will be locked into a pair of "Plays of the Day" and close the card out with the late pick 3 (Races 8-10). We appreciate you taking a look at the write-up and GOOD LUCK.

Little Pete's Early Double:
Race 1:
(6) Bold Looker is getting the Luis Saez bump in here and I think will be extremely strong late; this is my top pick. (2) Golden Alchemist to the inside will improve second time out and love the stretch out. We should see this horse sitting right behind the pace on the rail and waiting for the lane to open up. (3) Gate Runner is my last play to be able to sit outside the commotion and have plenty left in the tank to make it very interesting late. (5) Sidekick will likely go off the favorite sporting the highest speed fig. He will be tough to beat if he runs his last race. But we will try to beat him of course.

Race 2:
(5) Media Sensation looks very strong in here and is ascending at the right time. This horse should be involved early and be a tough beat late. (2) Seanan has been pointed to turf right from the start but his pedigree suggest dirt and distance is his thing. We'll see if that's the case or not today. (8) On Palm Sunday is going to ridden aggressive throughout and has a chance to wire this field.

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 3:
(2) JOIN THE DOTS is a little more battle tested than her rivals today. I like the draw where Davis can sit behind two or possibly three fillies that figure to go at it up front. Insigna is the danger for Cox but she will need to work out a trip from post 7 with the far turn coming quick out of the gate. Fingal’s Cave and Spiked could force the issue helping “Dot” who is bred to run all day. If she can handle kick back, she likely can out last this group.
Either (3) Fingal’s Cave or (6) Spiked can hold on for 2nd.

We’ll also use (2) Join The Dots in R3 and try to crash in on a DAILY DOUBLE play.

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:
Race 5:
I am going to include the Pletcher, (10) Sweeping Giant, who gets the need class relief and looks to out class the field, but I will try to beat. (2) Blueberry is training lightsout and looks to be poised to show plenty of speed in here. The inside post is an added bonus and worth the play. My top pick is going to be (5) Gut Feeling who is going to get the patented late kick from Rosario and should have plenty left late.

Race 6:
The two firsters in here and a must play for me in (7) Acoustic Ave and (10) Bobby Tank. (7) Acoustic Ave looks extremely tough in here against NY bred with a convincing stretch drive. Chad Brown has the other dangerous firster in (10) Bobby Tank. This horse should run a similar style race and could get a jump on the competition. My last play will be the well bet (9) Ten Cent Town in debut and should be only improving second time out.

Race 7:
(7) Creative Minister cuts back in distance and some class relief in here. Dylan Davis is not going to mess around and should be involved throughout. (9) Artorius is facing winners for the first time, but has been extremely impressive in both career races. (8) Be Better had an impressive win last time out and is ascending at the moment, this horse looks dangerous. (3) A.P. Secret flirted with a triple beyer speed last time out and I love the workouts heading in. The inside position will play well to this horse early and allowthis horse to save some energy late. (6) Wolfe County has two impressive races the last two and I think is finding his groove at the right time. I think this horse is going to be an extremely dangerous horse in here.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 8:
(4) FAUCI has been slow to get back to 2021 form but three races in this, he looks ready now. In his defense, he’s been facing stakes caliber runners this year and today’s group doesn’t come across that way. I like the switch back to Santana as he rode the guy well last year. (5) ANACONDA ships in with some West Coast speed figures. They attract Prat and had a nice breeze here in the AM for this. (11 NOBLE EMOTION is my wise guy choice in here. He took some time off after a solid 2021 campaign. He came back last month and it appears that it was used as a public workout as he dropped back and came with a minor run. The connections bring back Jose who guided him to a win and a 3rd last year at the Spa. He was flying on July 17th where he posted a big bullet for this. I’m expecting more speed and a fast finish from him today.

Race 9:
(9) BALTASAR took a lot of money last time and almost held on. They will try again but Manny will have to try to save some ground somewhere. I’ll use but I like two others a little better. The jockey switch to Saez for (5) ON THE HILL is hard to ignore. He look lost early in his last race and then kicked it in gear to be a clear 2nd. Look for Saez to keep this guy focused early and find a seam to come late. (3) LIFE CHANGER also gets an upgrade as Rosario returns. They both teamed up to break his maiden and they cut back to that winning distance today. He has speed to go or stalk so the break will likely decide that.

Race 10:
We will spread out as they stay on the turf but move to the inner. That may help Jose and (10) BUILT DIFFERENT get to the hedge with a longer run to the first turn. She showed speed last time and wasn’t far from Canisy who wired the field next time out. I see similar tactics today for this gal. (8) RADIANT GEM is two for two with Johny V up. She’s facing similar rivals today so a Re-Pete of her last two should put her right there. Cancel gets the boot for Jr on (4) ROSEMARY POTATOES. She got into trouble last time and was DQ’d. She had plenty in the tank before she was Stymied so I like the inside draw to sit chilly early and hope Alvarado can find a seam. (5) MORE TANGO has been big odds and making improvements on the switch to turf. Now she gets Saez for this and 12:1ML is just to difficult to pass up.
