We have ourselves a nice little nine card field at Saratoga; which is headlined by the Smart N Fancy in the seventh. This game is a tough one if you allow doubt to creep in, which is why we have the jump shooters mind set: Our next shot will be in. We are going to remain consistent in our plays and focus on a pair of pick 3 plays. We will also have our "Play of the Day" to try and maximize a race we see as profitable. Please let us know if you have any suggestions on formatting in these blogs. We want to make these write-ups as easy to read and informative as possible. If you think some other way would be easier to give out the plays, then please do not hesitate to reach out.
Little Pete's $1.00 Spot Pick 3:

R5: 2, 4, 8
R6: 1, 2, 4, 5
Cost: $36.00
Big Pete's $1.00 Late Pick 3:

R9: 1, 2, 6, 9
Cost: $36.00

Race 6:
This horse will be a low price on the board, but a relatively "big field" in these mainly scratched out races. I think we can use the (2) LeaveUWithASmile as a springboard to some more vertical action.
$5.00 WPS 2 Cost: $15.00
$4.00 Ex 2 w/ 1,4,5 Cost: $12.00
$0.50 PK4 2 w/ 5,6,7 w/ 2,4,6 w/ 1,2,6,9 Cost: $18.00

Race 4:
I am going against Little Pete in here with the rain we’ll focus our best bet on the dirt race, I’m interested in the (1) CORKMAN moving back in against MCL runners and the 9F makes this Curlin very attractive if we get the 8:1 ML. He also gets in light with the bug up and we get two runners for the price on one.
$10.00 WPS 1 Cost: $30.00
Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:
Race 4:
I landed on the two favorites in here with the (2) Judicial Restraint and (4) Height, who I believe both will be forwardly placed and they both will have the most left in the tank to challenge for this one. I just do not see much outside of these two where I would feel comfortable investing my money in them. One horse that does intrigue me here at a price is (7) Tiz Envy who has the lineage and trainer to do well with some moisture in the ground, and could be saving a lot of ground late to hit the board. Maybe we can catch this price underneath to make some $$ in here.
$3.00 Ex 2,4 w/ 2,4,7 Cost: $12.00
Race 5:
We are off the turf and on a muddy track with only three horses entered. I think this race is going to be won with early speed and (2) Duncastle has that. This horse should be able to get this one done, but will include (4) Outrageous Bet and (8) Preamble in case this horse tires out late.
$5.00 Ex 2 w/ 4,8 Cost: $10.00
Race 6:
This race is now going to be run on the dirt and makes me fall even more in love with (2) LeaveUWithASmile in here. I think this horse will be allowed the lead and not look back on the muddy track. Saez has been such a great rider these past couple of weeks and going to ride his hot hand. (4) Glass Ceiling is taking a significant class drop in here and has the speed to compete in this one. (1A) Little Red Frog is going to be my closer in here in case the race does breakdown on the front end late. (5) Chaysenbryn is going to be my last play here in case this horse runs a big stretch drive and passes tiring horses. Sorry, (3) Gone Glimmering, I am not including you in here. I most likely put this horse in the winner's circle, so if you are fading me GOOD LUCK.
$3.00 WPS 2 Cost: $9.00
$1.00 Ex Box 1,2,4,5 Cost: $12.00
Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 7:
I’ll look for (7) PEACEFUL to get to front early and forget to stop. She has some dirt pedigree to fall back on and Gaff will likely get aggressive with her. The other dirt runner that interest me is (4) A GREAT TIME. She’s has some fast time in her lines that she may be able to transfer to the slop and will make this mare dangerous.Little Pete stepping in as the (4) is scratched. I think Big Pete will want to replace with the closing speed of (6) Introduced, so will make executive decision and play for him. We’ll also include (5) MISS GOSSIP. She was 2nd last year in this race and gets an aggressive jockey switch. She wasn’t far from Sweet Bye and Bye last time and she ran big yesterday. Look for Carmouche to keep her closer than usual and target Peaceful through the stretch. If she can handle the slop, she can offer a challenge late.
$7.00 WPS 7 Cost: $21.00
$3.00 Ex 6,7 w/ 5,6,7 Cost: $12.00
Race 8:
(2) TEXAS SWING figures to be odds on as he finds an easy group of older horses to tackle here. With Creative Style out, (6) DANNY CALIFORNIA should be the main danger but he rarely goes back to back and now tries open company. I’ll look for (4) WILL SING FOR WINE to come late and spruce up the exacta.
$10.00 Ex 2 w/ 4,6 Cost: $20.00
Race 9:
We’ll spread here to close out this late Pk3 as I don’t care for the (1) MALIBU MISCHIEF, but she will be heavy favorite now on the dirt. We’ll try to get (2) OVERHEATED to close in late and run by them all. This mare has mud pedigree to handle it and Davis should get her involved early. (6) SECURE CONNECTION won last time with Jose and will look to duplicate that run today. She won’t mind the switch to the slop.
