Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:

Race 6:

I landed on three here with the expectation that (1A) Bronzed and (5) Aristocratic go to the early lead and set up the closing speeds in here. My top selection is going to be (6) ColtAndMississippi who should be set up perfectly to have plenty of early speed to run to the wire first. (8) Mojovation also has that similar running style and will be stalking the lead and have a nice stretch drive. My last play is going to be a bit of a price with (7) Malpais with the move back to Saez and getting a beatable field here. These three horses should all have a similar trip and whoever can save the most ground will get this one.

$2.00 Ex Box 6,7,8 Cost: $12.00

$3.00 WPS 6 Cost: $9.00

Race 7:

This grass sprint is going to be a tight match the entire way, so I landed on four horses that I think will be forwardly placed and have a shot to win a well time finish. (7) Proven Strategies has the speed on grass that really pays off in these mile trips. I think this horse is going to be placed well right from the break and be the one getting his picture taken. I think we have to include both Chad Brown horse's in this one. (6) Perjury Trap and (8) Lonesome Fugitive are the typical horses out of the Chad Brown barn and will be a handful late. My last play will be the consistent (3) Don Juan Kitten This horse consistently shows up and the mile distance looks to be the distance this horse excels at.

$3.00 WPS 7 Cost: $21.00

$1.00 Ex 3,6,7,8 Cost: $12.00

Race 8:

Closing the ticket with three horses that I think will love the extend out to a mile and an 1/8th. (1A) Maroon Maniac is going to be a very tough beat and a must play here on the ticket. This horse is still young and I do not feel comfortable singling a horse on their third career start in this one. (3) Parsimony upgrades to Jose Ortiz in this one and should be live in this class drop. (8) Locally Owned is in great form right now and the outside post will allow this horse to break without getting dirt to the face and be able to slowly creep his way up for a great stretch run.

$3.00 WPS 8 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex Box 1,3,8 Cost: $12.00

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 9:

NW1X NY breds kick off this Pk3 on the turf. I only see three with a shot here but we’ll use a more because of their big odds. (3) SIMPLY is the lightly raced gelding with 2 strong efforts to date. This ‘KID gets to stretch his legs and go the 8.5F two turn event. Closed well to get 3rd in a sprint last time and picks up the hot Rosario who fits his running style. Jose jumps off Simply to join the Pletcher’s runner (7) MO READY. He ran well last year against Turned Aside who ran huge yesterday. He comes in here fresh and moves back in against NY Breds. The other contender is the first time Irad (10) TURBO DRIVE. I doubt we get the 12:1 ML but if we’re close to it, he’s a major value play. He’s been sprinting lately but I think he wants more ground. I’ll use more here as this race came up very competitive. Both (2) ALBIE and (8) SANCTUARY CITY have run a number that puts them right there at the wire. It may come down to who gets the best trip in this crowded field and that’s the reason for the spread here.

$7.00 WPS 3 Cost: $21.00

$3.00 Ex 3,7 w/ 3,7,8,10 Cost: $18.00

Race 10:

We will take the layup here and start with (4) VOLATILE. He gets the acid test today but this guy is fast. Unless the others change their running styles, he figures to be out there alone early and on cruise control. A legit single if you’re trying to keep the ticket affordable, but we hit a few Pk3’s this week so we’ll use another. (5) MIND CONTROL is the other I’ll use. He has a win on the Spa dirt and on his best day, he’s run as fast as these before. He hasn’t run a lot of them but the 6F may be his best advantage. His best race has come at that distance.

$20.00 Ex 4 w/ 5 Cost: $20.00

$5.00 Ex 5 w/ 4 Cost: $5.00

Race 11:

Major drop for (6) MICROMILLION after he just missed going long on the dirt. Surprised to see Pletcher put him up for sale as he has turf in his blood. Using defensively here. Clement is off to a quick start and also drops (5) TIMELESS JOURNEY for a tag. But, I win at Saratoga is like no other and these owners want to brag. The trainers spot them were they can win. (4) HERWAZE is interesting to me. She can definitely get the distance and Saez may be all alone up top. The inner is key here as the tight turns will likely take a few strides for these young fillies to start their rally. By then, Saez will kick clear and try to hold on. (7) BROVIA gets the jockey upgrade and (11) FRENCHIE FROU FROU finally gets to stretch out. He is the one that will be moving the fastest late. But may be too far out of it to get there.

$7.00 WPS 4 Cost: $21.00

$3.00 Ex 4,5 w/ 4,5,6,11 Cost: $18.00
