Saratoga 7/24 Pick 3 Plays

We have a nice 10 race card at Saratoga today and look to have some wonderful weather here. We are headlined by the Grade 3 Quick Call; which looks to have a tough beat in there with the speedy Jack and Noah. We are going to remain focused on a pair of pick 3 plays. I will be focusing in on races 5-7, while Big Pete will be focusing in on race 8-10. Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:
Race 5:
We have a nice two year old sprint to kick off the pick 3 ticket, where I landed on five of them. (9) Samborella looks to be training better than her stablemate, (1) Party at Page's, but I think both are a strong contender in here; which is why I am including both of them. I am also going to look for two other firsters to run a great race first time out. (2) Raffinity is the daughter of Tonalist and everything from the workouts is pointing to this horse being quick first time I. I really like this horse in the (2) spot and think will have a chance to take this field down. (3) Irish Constitution is the other firster who has been training extremely well and with the Rosario mount could be sitting in a stalking position and close well. My last play will be (6) Jill's a Hot Mess. This horse improved second time out and should see another improvement with this being her third career start. She is a good horse and could have enough "experience" to take down this inexperienced field.

Race 6:
I am going to go with three horses in this leg for the ticket, but I like four horses. (9) Cap De Creus has faced better and should be live in this one. I just can't single a horse that is 1 for 14 in her career. (1) Elle M'a Souri is going to be my top selection in here with Gaffalione aboard. I think this horse will get the early pace needed from (2) No Mo Temper and be able to find herself in a stretch battle; which I love Gaffalione on grass. My last play is going to be (6) Coilean Bawn. Who should make the ticket for the connections alone who seem to win every race they team up, especially on grass. This horse is coming off the maiden breaker and ascending in to this allowance. I think this horse will be live in here and be a nice pace stalker throughout the inner turf. My last horse that I like, but not going to include on the ticket is (3) Overjoyed. I think that this distance will benefit this horse the most and will have a chance to hit the board underneath under one of the horses I stated above.

Race 7:
I will be closing the ticket with the four top selection in the morning line. I do not like much after these four horses and only including that many because they still are all maidens and it is the last leg. (8) Snicket is the logical first choice in this one and has beaten most of the horses in this race already. The more experience and the red hot barn make this horse a must play. (10) Quantitativebreezin is moving up in class from racing last time out in a claiming field. This horse showed a lot of speed first time out and speed kills, so will get the nod from me. (7) Magnolia's Lady ran a good third last time out and was only about two lengths from (8) Snicket. This horse should see improvement third time out and Lezcano/Rice have been clicking early at Saratoga. My last play is going to be (2) Towering Gaze who I am most excited to see out there today. This horse is exiting a race with Fresco who put on a fantastic race yesterday against a better field. This horse should be live and Jose is hungry after his brother put a five spot on the field on yesterday's card.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 8:
I’ll include (1) MOUNT TRAVERS and (7) FREE ENTERPRISE as they both look fit and on their best day, can win this. I’ll try to beat them with two closers. (6) ZOOMER just keeps improving but, found himself too far back to catch some nice sprinters last time. Manny will be on his toes this time as there is plenty of speed to close into.
(3) CERRETALTO will try open company here but has the right kick to make him dangerous late.

Race 9:
(2) JACK AND NOAH was left alone last time and he proved to tough to catch. If they leave him alone again, expect the same result. I’ll look for others to put more pressure on Jack to set up (3) OLD CHESTNUT. Jack has beaten him twice now but, new day and different turf may help. Clean break is a necessity for Jr to keep him close. The other interesting one is the O’Neill shipper (5) FORE LEFT. His best races have been sprinting and this Twirling Candy can run on turf as well. The presence of Jose makes this the wise guy play. (8) TURNED ASIDE has also lost to Jack twice but got a little closer last time. This Pharoah is working fast in the AM and will be dangerous.

Race 10:
I haven’t mentioned Irad today so I’ll start with him here. (1) AINTITFUNKYNOW drops after taking money in his last two and will be a short price for Maker. It’s now or never for this gelding. Donk left (5) OPERATIVE in opening days off the turf event last week. He is really looking for turf for this guy so we’ll see his best run today. Jose thinks so too as he gets a leg up. (12) MOMMIE’S JEWEL probably needs more ground and gets it today. I’m expecting Rosario to sit and make a run late. I’ll use two others with big odds because where talking about MCL runners that can wake up at any time. (6) NERO’S FIDDLE adds L1 and (11) FROZEN ACCOUNT tries turf for the first time.
