The final day at Saratoga and we are looking to go out with some cashed tickets! We will be looking to cover the entire card today. I will be taking down the early double as well as a spot pick 3 that covers the first three races of the pick 6 sequence (Races 7-9). I also may have some "Plays of the Day" to ensure we have the entire card covered. Big Pete will have some of his "Plays of the Day" as well as the late pick 3 (Races 10-12). We appreciate you taking a look at our write-ups this summer and hope that we can continue to provide you some tips that can be used throughout the year! GOOD LUCK AND THANK YOU!

Little Pete's $2.00 Early Double:
Race 1:
Irad is (6) behind Luis Saez for the top jockey at the meet and he is on some live horses today. (1) Equal Pay is my top pick in here with the rail position and the training leading into this one. Chad Brown trusts this horse and this horse could be a clear winner late in this one. (4) I'm Perfect Too ran a nice debut in closing fashion and I think this race will be fast early and open up a lane for a closer. (7) Someday Maybe has some bullet workouts coming into this one and Johnny V will put this horse on the lead. If this horse is left alone, then we could have some horses behind fighting to catch up and may be too much of an ask.
$3.00 WPS 1 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex Box 1,4,7 Cost: $12.00
Race 2:
(1) Carbon has Irad again and we have to play the double with him included. He will be looking to have this horse right off the lead and wait for the opportunity to send her down the stretch. (2) Chiara has been training extremely well coming in and the Bond/Saez connection has been great all meet. This horse should be close to or on the lead and that could be enough for Saez to wire the field. (4) Belarus is training well too and this horse should show some early speed and this dirt sprint should favor the NY speed. (7) Call Sign Charlie is a dangerous horse to the outside with Abreu/Franco teaming up again after winning a maiden breaker together yesterday.
$3.00 WPS 1 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex 1,7 w/ 1,2,4,7 Cost: $12.00
$1.00 Ex 2,4 w/ 1,2,4,7 Cost: $6.00

Race 3:
All will be focused on Brown and Pletcher in here and rightfully so. Both (2) En Wye Cee and (3) L’Imperator exit the same race where “L” got up for the win. BUT, it’s the “other” Pletcher that I will focus on. (4) NO WORD was coming off a 9 month vacation in his last and cleared needed it. This guy faced better last year and has out worked his stable mate in the AM. With Jose no riding here, Franco steps in and we should get decent odds with this colt.
(3) L’ Imperator and (5) Dreams Of Tomorrow to close in late for the Exacta
$ 7.00 WPS 4 Cost $ 21.00
$ 7.00 Exacta 4 w/ 3, 5 Cost $ 14.00
We’ll also use No Wordin R3 and try to crash in on a DAILY DOUBLE play.
Both (2) My Roxy Girl and (7) Sweet Mia look solid in the 4th
$ 7.00 Double 4 w/ 2, 7 Cost $ 14.00
Little Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 4:
(2) My Roxy Girl has the speed and the post position in here. Manny should be able to find the rail early and allow the horses to his outside use some early energy to find the lead, as many in this field need the lead to win. I think this sets up a lane for him to run down the tiring horses in a convincing way. I also think we can get a couple of horses with some stamina left coming in strongly late. (1) Lady By Choice loves passing tiring horses and (3) No Deal is going to be forwardly placed as well and wait for the stretch to unleash all she has; Saez gets the mount too, so that is a boost.
$5.00 WPS 2 Cost: $15.00
$3.00 Ex 2 w/ 1,3 Cost: $6.00
$2.00 Ex 1,3 w/ 1,2,3 Cost: $8.00
Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 5:
(1) TACKLE also returns from a 9 Month vacation for Maker after a fast closing 2nd last November. He beat Neuro that day and that one just missed in the nightcap yesterday and has been running well all year. He’s been in the money in all three turf starts and if ready, should offer a decent price
$ 7.00 WPS 1 Cost $ 21.00
$ 7.00 Exacta 1 w/ 3, 6 Cost $ 14.00
Little Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 6:
(6) Ocean Air is exiting the best race and getting the Saez speed bump. This horse will be more forwardly placed and that will make the difference late. We will take this horse for a WPS and hope that we can find the price underneath to complete an exacta and triple..
$5.00 WPS 6 Cost: $15.00
$3.00 Ex 6 w/ 7,8,10,11 Cost: $12.00
$1.00 Tri 6 w/ 7,8,10 w/ 7,8,10,11 Cost: $ 9.00
Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:
Race 7:
(2) CommandPerformance looks great coming into this one with a bullet workout and getting the rail position. This horse should be on the lead or stalking it and awaiting Irad to send him down the stretch. (4) Don't Wait Up has a race under his belt and was just beaten out late down the stretch. This horse should improve from that effort and run a big one in here. (5) Forced Ranking is training well and this Chad Brown horse looks poised to run a front running score. (6) Drakon is a horse that should be waiting for the opportunity to run and Manny will have this horse rolling come stretch drive.
$3.00 WPS 2 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex 2,6 w/ 2,4,5,6 Cost: $12.00
$1.00 Ex 4,5 w/ 2,4,5,6 Cost: $6.00
Race 8:
(2) Consumer Spending is getting another shot at this one and is the clear favorite in here. I like the other Chad Brown horse in (10) Hedy Lamarr and Irad choosing to ride this one makes me think this firster is going to run a big one. (5) Toerisclosed strongly in her debut and should improve with the stretch out. The horse is training well on grass and should be a dangerous horse late. (7) Silvery Rill is a horse that needs to be included as well as Luis Saez will be putting this horse in the action early and the race experience should allow this horse to be in even better form this time out.
$3.00 WPS 10 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex 7,10 w/ 2,5,7,10 Cost: $12.00
$1.00 Ex 2,5 w/ 2,5,7,10 Cost: $6.00
Race 9:
(4) IfIHadAChance is a horse that I really like in here. I think this race has plenty of early speed and this horse is going to be my closer. She has shown recent ability to run past tiring horses and I think with the cutback in distance this horse will be prepped for a big race come stretch drive. (6) Awesome Debate is going to be sent to the lead and if left alone is a wire to wire threat. I trust Luis to get this horse in great position to allow this horse a breather around the turn and enough stamina left late. (7) Betsy Blue will not be far off the lead and Irad will wait for the moment to send this horse. The Irad angle is going to be a big one today, IMO.
$3.00 Ex Box 4,6,7 Cost: $18.00
Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 10:
I feel I need to include both favorites in this G1 Hopeful as both are very impressive to this point. (6) WIT has back to back runs that jump off the page. My concern is this Pratical Joke going 7F so of the two fav’s, I prefer (8) HIGH OAK. Oak was dominate in the Special and was drawing away easily at the end. The distance probably works in his favor. I’m going to try a beat them both with the Ward runner (7) HEADLINE REPORT. He didn’t look comfortable coming off a short rest and couldn’t hold off Wit. He still managed to clear the other 9 entered that day. I think Johnny V gets aggressive with him today and will try to open daylight coming into the stretch and see if any of them can handle the extra furlong.
$ 7.00 WPS 7 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex 7, 8 w/ 2, 6, 7, 8 Cost $ 18.00
Race 11:
I can’t ignore the switch to Saez on (3) ATONE. They draw inside and figure to save ground and set a controlled pace. He couldn’t last against these last time but that was from the 8 hole. Different story today. Brown will take some money with (7) LAHARA. This gelding has had trouble staying on the track as it’s only his 6th race in three years. His last was encouraging and Manny sticks. (6) COLD HARD CASH is a new animal on the surface switch. He almost got there against similar last time and looks to be coming home today too. (2) KING CAUSE is the other Maker that will track his stable mate and try to pass him late.
$ 7.00 WPS 3 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex 3, 7 w/ 2, 3, 6, 7 Cost $ 18.00
Race 12:
(5) NORMAN QUEEN looks fast for Ward as Johnny V takes the call. The MCL 40k spot that they pick to debut is a little scary so I’ll use defensively and try to beat her with (4) STELLA MARS. She has more speed than what Rosario showed us as he willingly put her too far back. I like the switch to, the more hungry, Dylan today and expecting her to run them down late. (7) BLACK PANDA is dropping in for a tag, adds L1 and tries turf. I think she’ll like the grass and enjoy the class relief. (10) ORMA is interesting. She was moving well and had to steady slightly. A clean trip from Saez and they can put an exclamation point on the meet that Luis had.
