Sunday at the Spa and it looks like we have some rain in the forecast. We still have a stacked (12) race card and we are looking to cash in on the final days of Saratoga. I will be locked in to taking down the early double (Races 1 & 2) and a spot pick 3 that starts the pick 6 sequence (Races 7-9). Big Pete will have a couple of his "Plays of the Day" as well as taking down the late pick 3 (Races 10-12). We appreciate you taking the time to look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.

Race 1:
(2) Magic Circle is a firster I like in here to find the rail early and enjoy a little moisture in the ground. Manny should have a strong horse late at a price and what is not to love about that? (4) Sweet Lady Ivanka is a Chad Brown horse that looks great coming into this one and could be a step above the field; will include. (6) Speedometer is going to be on the lead in here and with a bunch of inexperienced horses in here I will trust the horse who has raced before. (8) Alsanah is a Pletcher two year old with Saez aboard. This horse will get an aggressive ride early and should be able to handle this distance with ease.

Race 2:
(4) Appreciate is a horse I really like in here to excel with Saez in here. this horse has the post position and should be able to find the rail early to sustain a big run throughout. (5) Madam Maclean is a speed horse getting some class relief and should be poised late to run on with it. (6) Little Dutch Girl is going to be closing strong from the outside and a nice timed run will be all this horse needs to compete late. (10) Courted has speed to the outside and I think Manny will be aggressive throughout. This horse is a very interesting play cutting back in distance and going to give her a play.

Race 3:
I was trying to beat Brown’s runner (7) COALITION BUILDING as they drop to the bottom. That’s never a good sign but there is really is no alternative that I can come up with. I’ll use this gal on top and look for prices to fill in the exacta.
(9) Balinese and (10) Closertotheheart can close in late for the Exacta

Race 5:
This Brown entry dropping I will try to beat. Irad gets off one of the entries and ends up on the Rice filly (8) THISLADYIS THE LAW. She held her own against MSW two back and then didn’t like the slop. She moves back to turf and faces MCL.

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:
Race 7:
The two siblings in here, (1) Classic Lynne and (2) Classy Edition, look great to me on paper and I think will be battling up front early. I am trusting Irad to have the horse underneath him to run on with this one late. (6) Summer Snow is training lights out coming in and I think Lezcano will wait for the stretch to let this horse really run. (7) Laochi from Laobon is a horse I really like to have a second gear late. Cancel should be able to save ground throughout from the outside and wait for the lane to come to him and pass tiring horses.

Race 8:
The two Pletcher horses are my top plays in here and a must play, IMO. (3) Jester Calls Nojoy is going to be on the lead and is a danger to wire the field. (8) Amani's Image is going to be right off the lead and shoot down the lane late to try and catch her stablemate. (10) Handbelle is my last play from the outside who should be able to find her footing late and still be in a good position around the turn. This horse is training well and Tapit horses are always a threat first time out.

Race 9:
This is going to be a highly competitive race and going to go (5) deep in here and leave off some horses that also have a good shot in here. (1) Command Point is a horse that is stepping up in class and running on the big stage in 'Toga. I trust Irad to find the rail early and have a lot of horse left down the stretch. (7) Kemba is a horse that is training lights out and has run her best races on grass. Luis Saez will be aggressive early and give this horse the best chance to win late. (9) Mopolka is going to be shooting down the lane late and the class relief should allow this horse to have plenty of energy late to run on with it. (11) Family Time is an interesting play in here with Florent Geroux getting the mount. This horse is going to need to have a nice trip in here to win it and this is the jockey you want to navigate that. (12) Lucy's Cakes Fly is my last play with Jose Ortiz aboard. This horse is improving each time she steps on the course and the lane should be there for her to compete for the wire.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 10:
Both Brown and Pletcher have been closing the meet with a hot barn. (2) MYSTIC NIGHT has been consistent in all three 2021 races with Franco up. Maybe the slop slowed him down last time so keep an eye on the skies late in the card. (9) SUPERFECTO couldn't hang on last time and the outside post won't help much here. It's Saez though, so if they can get to the rail quick, he may be able to muscle him the whole way. (8) FIRST CONSTITUTION ships in from Chile and attracts Irad. He continues to work well and probably has spent enough time with Pletcher to make a difference today. If we get the 5:1 ML, I’ll use this guy on top. (6) YOU’RE TO BLAME likes to drop back and come with a run. His win earlier in the meet was dressed up because it was against turf runners switching to the dirt BUT it was a fast time. Has faced better and would be no surprise here.

Race 11:
Fillies take center stage in the Spinaway as Asmussen sends out (3) ECHO ZULU. She dusted maidens without breaking a sweat on opening day. This Gun Runner stretches out a little as she has the look of something special. (5) PRETTY BIRDIE ran just as well as Echo did a few races later on that card. Saez grabbed the lead early and never looked back. She too is bred to stretch out nicely as I see these two girls going at it close to home. (1) TARABI ships in after beating up on Ellis Park maidens but did it with style. If the top two go at it, she can sit and watch it all happen and come late to the scene. (2) GIRL WITH A DREAM is one to worry about. Cox has put out runners the whole meet and Geroux follows this girl here. This Practical Joke probably reaches her limit at 7F but the Corinthian influence underneath will take care of that. She’s dangerous.

Race 12:
We’re expecting rain late in the card so figure the MTO’s if it gets sloppy. (7) NEURO has turned it around lately or maybe it’s the Spa. Two big runs here and theres no reason to think he won’t do it again. (9) VOLKERT is the price I want. He can sit and close in late and Dylan fits his style of racing well. (3) HALPERT was also closing in in that same race with Volkert. Which ever one can workout a trip most likely gets there first. (6) KING ANGELO may have the front all to himself. It would be no surprise if Saez takes them all the way.
