We have a 10 race card today at Saratoga and we continue to see nice weather! We are going to have a medley of plays to try and cover as much as the card as we can. I will be focused on taking down the early double and a spot pick 3 (Races 5-7). Big Pete has been on fire and will have some "Plays of the Day" and attack the late pick 3 (Races 8-10). We will look to gain some momentum heading into the weekend and we appreciate you taking a look at this write-up! GOOD LUCK.

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 3:
(4) DISCRETIONARY MARQ has not seen the winners circle for some time now. But today he drops slightly and found a suspect group to help out. He had to deal with Shiraz, Noble Emotion and Big Package in his last three outings and they are much better than this group. I think Santana will use his speed today and hold on late.

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 4:
(7) CHULAINN a shot here. He sports two strong efforts this year after they added L1. His last race looks faster than most of these and Rosario takes the mount. There appears to be set up speed to his inside to make a late charge.

Little Pete's $2.00 Early Double:
Race 1:
The two inside firsters look like must plays in here. (1) Mystic Eyes will have EYES on the lead and the inside post should only benefit this horse. Johnny V has been heating up and looks to have a live horse in this sprint. (2) I'm So Sorry has shown speed in the workouts and I love Uncle Mo horses on grass. Jose should be able to stalk behind the horse to the inside and wait for a moment to shoot down the stretch. My last play will be (6) Mostly Harmless who I know we will get at a decent price. This horse looks great in the workouts leading in and I like Rosario choosing to ride this one. I expect a late run on this one that could be the deciding move.

Race 2:
The two favorites look good in here and I will include. (2) Moon Over NY is a firster from Jeremiah Englehart who has a bullet workout coming in and should have plenty of speed in here to wire the field. (8) Danny Deep Cuts is going to improve from first time out and ran a good number at this distance. If this horse improves from last effort, then this horse is a very dangerous horse late. My last play will be (7) Fastelle who is getting back to dirt and going to benefit from the class drop again in here. This horse has been in good form on grass recently and I think will translate well in this effort.

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:
Race 5:
(1) Wartime Hero's race to lose and a logical single in here with the drop back in class. This horse doesn't have much speed to run against, so should be able to find the lead and hold it throughout. In case this horse does not run his best race I will include (8) Z'Finale who is going to be able to draft behind the leader throughout. It is a long race and if anyone in this field is aggressive early, this horse will benefit the most late.

Race 6:
I really like (8) Butter Lou in here who has been training well and I think will benefit from an early speed battle. Luis will have this horse saved for the stretch drive and excited for him to take a price home to the wire for us. (5) No Time Alone is going to be looking to wire the field and if left alone, then could do just that. I will be playing with (2) Disengage being right behind her throughout and challenge late for this one as well.

Race 7:
Spreading out in here. (2) Mystery Bank has the post position and Tyler will be aggressive to find a rail position. This horse is going to be a player throughout and a good trip could be all this horse needs to get the front runners late. (3) Calibogee had an impressive debut and Jose Ortiz choosing to ride over others he has ridden in this field. This horse is a dangerous horse at 10/1 and no way we get close to that come post time. (7) LandBiscuit is a horse I really like in here and wouldn't be surprised if this is Saez's third win in a row! This horse is going to be running his best race late and has improved each time out, no matter the surface. (8) Bad Guy is an interesting horse who has shown the late closing ability and getting some more grass to run at this time out. Rosario has a knack for running down horses late and is a good play. (9) Life on Top is my last play in here with the Irad/Chad Brown connection. Chad is getting hot in here, especially on grass. We should anticipate the similar style of waiting for the moment to run and fanning out wide down the stretch.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 8:
One lap around the Spa oval for this bunch and none of them have had any success getting this far. We'll go with the hot hand and put the Cox runner on top. (5) BINGO JOHN has been keeping better company than this bunch has been facing so the slight class relief makes him the horse to beat. They tried sprinting last time but I think he wants to go long instead. (6) BUSTIN THE RULES has some speed and if left alone, he can stay the distance. He's worth a shot at his 6:1 ML. (1) OUR MAN MIKE figure to save ground from the rail and muscle his way up the rail to make it interesting late.

Race 9:
I'm only interested in two in here, (3) LONE ROCK will be odds on after his big run in the G2 Brooklyn. He's a neck away from winning seven in a row. Big bullet on the 22nd for this. A possible single if you choose. The other one we'll use is (4) MORETTI. He's the defending champ of this race so he's looking to Re-Pete. More importantly he gets Irad on his back. He'll be the better odds so we'll use him on top.

Race 10:
A wide open finale and I tossed in five. (1) BELLA PRINCESS move back to the turf AND she gets Irad. To strong positives to ignore. (3) MONDEUSE has the speed to control this. Jose almost pulled it off last time so he'll give it a shot again. (5) LOOKIN TO FLY is another to keep an eye on. She probably needed her last coming off the layoff but it's the stretch out that makes her the one to watch. I ultimately landed on the price (2) MEMORIES ETERNAL. Both of her turf runs at this level and distance from last year stack up well against this group. She ran in Runaway Rumour two back and fell asleep last time letting them get away to an easy lead. I like the switch to Lezcano for this mare to come and pick them up late. We'll toss in (8) OUT OF SIGHT as she tries turf for the first time and she's bred to like it.
