Friday racing in Saratoga and we are looking to roll into the weekend with some more winners. We are going to look to cover the entire card again with myself focused on the early double (Races 1 & 2) and a spot pick 3 that kicks off the pick 6 sequence (Races 5-7). Big Pete will be focused on a couple of "Plays of the Day" as well as the late pick 3 (Races 8-10). Only Race 6 is on the TURF today at the Spa, so we will need to monitor for late scratches. We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.

R2: 2, 3, 4, 6 Cost: $16.00

R6: 2, 3, 4, 6
R7: 1, 6, 8 Cost: $ 48.00
Big Pete's $ 1.00 Late Pick 3:
R8: 2, 6, 10
R9: 2, 7, 9
R10: 1, 6, 8, 9 Cost: $ 36.00
Little Pete's $2.00 Early Double:
Race 1:
(3) Fingal is my top pick in here and I even thought about singling this one. This horse handled the slop last time and he gets a similar track today. I think Lezcano will be able to sit behind the pace and have plenty of horse late to run on with this. I will also be including MTO (1) Mr Briggs from the rail. Saez takes the mount after his runner scratches. This gelding is a Super Savor so the off going will only help.
$3.00 WPS 3 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex 1, 3 w/ 1, 3, 4 Cost: $12.00
Race 2:
(3) Speranza is going to be my top pick in here coming in with some really strong and consistent workouts. I will trust Irad to the inside to be able to find a rail position and save ground throughout and that making a big difference. (2) Beautiful Banks is going to get a play for me moving to dirt and second time out. Johnny V is going to be aggressive from the gate and I expect a better performance this time out. (4) Empire Lily is another firster that needs some consideration. The horse has been training well and Jose Ortiz gets the mount. Last play will be Saez aboard (6) Makin My Move who has shown speed in morning workouts and Luis Saez knows what to do with speed; win with it.
$3.00 WPS 3 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex 3,4 w/ 2,3,4,6 Cost: $12.00
$1.00 Ex 2,6 w/ 2,3,4,6 Cost: $6.00
Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 3:
Market Alert is your MTO in here but (6) SCUTTLEBUZZ has been on some kind of roll lately. He has been competitive in all four races this year and mud shouldn’t be a problem. Rudy has him in good form and meets a watered down field today
$ 7.00 WPS 6 Cost $ 21.00
$ 7.00 Exacta 6 w/ 3, 5 Cost $ 14.00
We’ll also use (6) Scuttlebuzz in R3 and try to crash in on a DAILY DOUBLE play.
$ 7.00 Double 6 w/ 2, 3 Cost $ 14.00
Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 4:
(3) MY COUSIN RICH drops in for a tag and Santana returns. He was a decent 3rd to Newbomb last time and that one won here earlier in the meet. I think he found the right group and if this 4:1ML holds up, I’m all in.
We’ll use (2) Blame It On Brutus and (4) Ricky’s Revenge underneath.
$ 7.00 WPS 3 Cost $ 21.00
$ 7.00 Exacta 3 w/ 2, 4 Cost $ 14.00
Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:
Race 5:
My top pick is going to be (6) Makart who I think is going to run a big race second time out and won't mind the mud. I think Tyler will be able to sit behind a decent pace and allow this horse to find a lane late to run down tiring horses. (2) Resilient Courage was passed late by the favorite in here and I think gets a better trip this time out. The inside post will be beneficial and allow this horse to save some more ground and energy for a late charge. (4) SundaesWithSandy is a horse I really like as I always like Rudy Rodriguez horse's second time out. We should expect a massive jump this time out and Irad takes the mount. (7) Amalgamator is a tough name to announce and I think will be a surprise in here. This horse is training well and consistent for me and Javier should be able to get this horse home strongly, even first time out.
$3.00 WPS 6 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex 4,6 w/ 2,4,6,7 Cost: $12.00
$1.00 Ex 2,7 w/ 2,4,6,7 Cost: $6.00
Race 6:
(3) La Dragontea is my top pick in here with that bullet workout coming in and Rosario getting the mount in here. This horse is going to have a nice position in here throughout and going to give this horse the nod to have the best speed late. (2) Flighty Ladyand (4) Capital Structure are must plays from the Chad Brown barn with the Ortiz brothers riding. These horses are coming in extremely strong and may be just too good in here. My last play will be (6) Sister Otoole who had an impressive win last time out and is looking to close strongly in here. Saez will find the position that gives this horse the best opportunity to win.
$3.00 WPS 3 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex 2,3 w/ 2,3,4,6 Cost: $12.00
$1.00 Ex 4,6 w/ 2,3,4,6 Cost: $6.00
Race 7:
(1) Road to Success on the inside should be able to find the lead early and may be able to handle this field in wire to wire fashion. (6) Gimme Some Mo is going to be up there as well and with a better trip should be able to eat up ground late. My last inclusion will be (8) Moonlight Now who I think is going to improve this time out and is ready to be in the action early. That bullet workout coming in is pushing me to include in case this horse can get the forwardly placed trip this horse needs to win.
$3.00 Ex Box 1,6,8 Cost: $18.00
Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 8:
(6) MISTER LUIGI tried G3 company in the Amsterdam. That may have been a little too aggressive. Now he’s placed in a more realistic spot at a manageable 7F distance. Walder is still struggling here but has a shot with (2) LIKEABLE. His best two races have been on this track so any improvement will make this guy a contender. (10) ROYAL REALM is where I landed. He did well to get 3rd last time against a salty group and now cuts back to the one turn 7F. Manny has been quiet lately but capable as Donk gives this guy a rabbit to set up his late kick.
$ 7.00 WPS 10 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex 6, 10 w/ 2, 3, 6, 10 Cost $ 18.00
Race 9:
Ward will be busy in the paddock as three are entered. (2) AVERLY JANE is 2 for 2 and was never threatened in both. With the inside draw, she figures to take control early and play catch me if you can. (7) GOLDEN BELL is also fast and figures to be just off Jane’s flank. Which every one handles the off going better, will likely get their picture taken. Then there’s (9) OVERBORE who has a powerful closing kick. Rosario will need to keep him involved early so he’s not left with too much to do against his faster filly stable mates.
$ 7.00 WPS 2 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex 2, 7 w/ 2, 7, 8, 9 Cost $ 18.00
Race 10:
We close it out with this off the turf MCL 40K. (1) SALINO gets some class relief and the surface switch is probably what she wanted. She has speed to take the front early if she wants to. Franco will have options. (6) MALIBU ANTHEM also wanted dirt as she turned in her best performance last time under these same conditions. She went too wide to sustain her rally in that race so if Castellano can save some ground, she will be right there close to home. (9) SWEET MISSION stays in after two turf tries. This Commissioner can probably handle both surfaces as Hennig sends her out first time off the claim. (8) DEAREST KITTEN is a little interesting as the horse who beat her last time returned to run big this week. She shouldn’t mind the extra distance.
