Fourstardave Day at Saratoga and we will be on site for the action! We will be looking to cover most of the card today on this fantastic day of racing we have. I will be focused on the early double (Races 1 & 2) and a spot pick 3 that covers the first half of the pick 6 (Races 6-8). Big Pete will be locked in on a couple of "Plays of the Day" and also cover the late pick 3 (Races 9-11). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.

Little Pete's $ 2.00 Early Double:

R1: 1, 2, 5, 6

R2: 1, 7, 9

Cost: $24.00

Little Pete's $ 1.00 Spot Pick 3:

R6: 2, 3, 8, 10

R7: 2, 3, 4, 11

R8: 1, 4, 5, 8

Cost: $60.00

*My top picks for each race are in Purple if looking to condense ticket*

Big Pete's $ 1.00 Late Pick 3:

R9: 1, 2, 6, 11

R10: 1, 4, 5

R11: 4, 6, 9 ,10

Cost: $ 48.00

Little Pete's $2.00 Early Double:

Race 1:

(5) King Angelo is training lights out and going to be extremely tough in here. I will include others in case this horse is challenged early on the lead and opens up the lane for a late finishing horse. (1) Giramonte is a horse I really like in here to be close to the lead and be able to save ground throughout. This horse had a nice performance last time out and looks to be in pretty good form in here. (2) Suit of Armor is the wild card play who has been training well and Frosted on grass is always a smart play. Tyler Gaffalione is riding extremely well and going to include in case this horse is ready to win first time out. My last play will be (6) The Great Gazoo who will be gaining through the stretch late. If it wasn't for his tardy start last time, he might have got there.

$3.00 WPS 5 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 1, 5 w/ 1, 2, 5, 6 Cost: $12.00

$1.00 Ex 2, 6 w/ 1, 2, 5, 6 Cost: $6.00

Race 2:

(7) Askin For A Baskin is a must play in here and is ascending in each race. This horse is going to get an aggressive ride in here and may be too good to pass late. I trust Johnny V on the lead with a horse that possesses speed. (9) Laughing Boy is another horse that is ascending at the moment and training well coming into this one. Jose Ortiz will have to sit behind (7) Asking For A Baskin and I trust him to find a lane late to compete in here. The horse I really like is (1) Soar to get to dirt and a firm surface. This horse is training EXTREMELY well and gets the inside post. I think the debut was a fluke and this horse is going to run a big one in here.

$3.00 WPS 7 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 1, 7, 9 Cost: $12.00

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 3:

(6) LONESOME FUGITIVE is the other Brown that I want. His stable mate may get more attention at the windows, but the Fugitive has worked himself back into shape this year. Two races down state and working out by the Jersey shore should give him a chance to flex his muscles here as Franco returns. I think he sits mid pack and weaves his way through the lane. They’ll need to catch (5) Klickitat who will get first jump and hold off (1) Absam late.

$ 7.00 WPS 6 Cost: $ 21.00

$ 10.00 Exacta 6 w/ 1, 5 Cost $ 20.00

We’ll also use Lonesome Fugitive in R3 and try to crash in on a DAILY DOUBLE play.

Both (4) Point Wild and (2) Investment Income look solid in the 4th

$ 7.00 Double 6 w/ 2, 4 Cost $ 14.00

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 4:

The two favorites look the part in here, but I like the race (4) POINT WILD is coming out of. She finished 3rd to Jouster who turned out to be a good one. It was her first time on grass and two turns. Jose has been on a few live ones for McPeek in the last few days all at decent odds. It looks like they have been pointing for this race for her graduation.

We’ll use (3) Investment Income and (5) Baby Blythe underneath.

$ 7.00 WPS 4 Cost $ 14.00

$ 7.00 Exacta 4 w/ 3, 5 Cost $ 21.00

We’ll also use (4) Point Wild in R4 and try to crash in on a DAILY DOUBLE play.

Both (1) Regal Quality and (8) Sicilia Mike look solid in the 5th

$ 10.00 Double 4 w/ 1, 8 Cost $ 20.00

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:

Race 6:

(2) Power Agenda gets the inside position and Irad will not mess around in here. This Pletcher horse looks impressive in work outs and a must play in here; most likely horse to wire the field. I really like (3) I'll Figure it Out who gets Dylan Davis aboard who should be able to find the rail behind the Pletcher horse and be able to find the lane to run down the horses up front. (8) General Strike is going to possess speed first time out from the Asmussen barn and this horse could have a second gear late. My last play will be (10) Montauk Point who has a race under his belt and training lights out coming into this one. Jose Ortiz will be able to navigate a trip from the outside and this horse will be one of the strongest late.

$3.00 WPS 10 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 2,10 w/ 2,3,8,10 Cost: $12.00

$1.00 Ex 3,8 w/ 2,3,8,10 Cost: $6.00

Race 7:

(3) Assiduosly looks great in here with the class drop and just having too much ability for this field. I also like (4) Restored Order to benefit just as well with the class drop and this could turn into a two horse race. I do like (2) Big Blue in here who has shown the ability to close and gets to the inside of those two horses, so should be able to have a ground saving trip throughout. This horse has run well in races that present early speed and I think we will get just that in here. My last play will be (11) Holy Emperor who is a horse I like to close strongly as well. The post position isn't great, but the horse is training well and should be able to find a nice mid pack position early. I trust Santana, Jr. to find the right lane to run in and make it interesting late.

$3.00 WPS 2 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 2,3 w/ 2,3,4,11 Cost: $12.00

$1.00 Ex 4,11 w/ 2,3,4,11 Cost: $6.00

Race 8:

(1/1A) are both coming into this one with a triple beyer speed last time out. They both will shoot towards the lead early and are going to both be tough beats in here; plus, we get both of them for the price of one! (4) Speaker's Corner is my top pick in here who is coming in with bullet workouts and breaking his maiden. This horse should be undefeated and will most likely get overlooked in here. Jose Ortiz will have this horse ready for an impressive stretch drive. (5) Ducale is a horse that looks great on paper with the connections and the speed this horse possesses. It may be just too good in here, but this is the type of favorite I like to try and beat. I am going with the 30/1 to the outside in (8) Mr. Tip who is getting back to dirt and has run impressively each time out on that surface. Tyler should have some speed to run into late and this horse has shown the ability to run down a field late. I really like this horse at a price to make some noise.

$3.00 WPS 4 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 1,4 w/ 1,4,5,8 Cost: $12.00

$1.00 Ex 5,8 w/ 1,4,5,8 Cost: $6.00

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 9:

(1) NAKATOMI has the rail and the speed to get to the stretch in front. I’m guessing that will be Ward’s instructions and then see if he can hold on from there. If no one goes with him, Castellano can get him to the wire. (2) GUNITE is figuring out this game. He’s improved each start and the Gun Runner is starting to show in this colt. He can sit chilly early and come with a run like he did in his last. Stable rider is up. I’ll lean on

(6) STOLEN BASE to come and get them both. Maker makes the switch to Jose as this guy was impressive breaking his maiden earlier in the meet. He followed that up with a fast breeze last week. The extra furlong will only help. (11) HIGH OAK is dangerous as he won first out and continues to look sharp in the morning. He’ll be closing in late.

$ 7.00 WPS 6 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 2, 6 w/ 1, 2, 6, 11 Cost $ 18.00

Race 10:

We’ll start with (1) RAGING BULL as this guy looks better than ever with a G1 win and a fast closing 2nd last time. He has a rabbit to target and should save some ground with the draw. He’s a major player. The other player is (5) SET PIECE. He has been on a roll for Cox and keeps delivering. Acid test today but I think he can handle it. There’s two stalkers to worry about because their best effort would be good enough to beat these. (4) CASA CREED has won on this course and has improved this year. His Jaipur win was big so if he can carry that to 1M, he’ll be right there. (7) FIELD PASS has been going longer but Maker is pushing all the right buttons. He’s a threat at decent odds.

$ 7.00 WPS 5 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 1, 5 w/ 1, 4, 5, 7 Cost $ 18.00

Race 11:

Is there a Doctor in the house? Actually, there are two. (9) DR. DUKE wants grass and needs the lead. I think he gets both today. Look for Cancel to try and clear to save ground and then try to spurt away at the top of the stretch. (4) DR. BLUTE moves back to the turf as well and picks up Jose. If he Re-Petes' either of his previous two turf outings, they would be good enough for the win today. I landed on the More Than Ready runner (6) HALPERT. He’s bred top and bottom to race on the turf. He tried going long on it here last year and then sprinting off the layoff last time. He gets Irad for this and finds the right field at a price. (10) PHANTOM SMOKE get L1 and Rosario today for his 2021 debut. Big bullet on the 24th for this.

$ 7.00 WPS 6 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 4, 6 w/ 4, 6, 9, 10 Cost $ 18.00
