Thursday racing at Saratoga and we are going to cover the entire card! I will be focused on taking down the early double and a spot pick 3 (Races 5-7). Big Pete will have his "Plays of the Day" on races 3 & 4 and will be taking down the late pick 3 (Races 8-10). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.

Little Pete's $2.00 Early Double:
Race 1:
(1) Aggresgation was bought for $270K and Chad Brown has this horse improving each time out for workouts. This horse looks really good on paper and a must play for me. (2) GimmeDaMoney is a horse who ran better than his odds would have said first time out. This horse has a favorable post position and with it being his second time out and getting a firmer surface we should expect a big run in here. (3) Daufuskie Island is a horse I have to include in here with those workouts. This horse is blistering in practice and Dylan Davis will have this horse on the lead in here and if this horse is left alone to set the fractions, then I like this horse on top. Last play will be (8) Convertible Freeze who is a Brad Cox horse who is getting included because of how the barn is producing. This horse doesn't scream speed, but should be set up late from the outside to run by tiring horses.

Race 2:
(4) Candy Flower is getting back to a class in which this horse has shown the ability to wire. This horse should be able to find the lead early and be able to navigate a nice trip under Gaffalione. I like (5) Lagom to sit right behind the horse and be able to fan out wide come stretch drive for a shot at the wire. My last play will be the other Mike Maker horse in (7) Whimsical Muse who has a hungry Irad in here and should be able to navigate a rail trip in here to be able to be the strongest horse late.

Race 3:
(2) SIMPLY RAVISHING tried the G1 Ashland for her 2021 debut. She lasted for a little bit but couldn’t sustain it. She now returns to the Spa where she started her career with two straight wins. Saez continues to ride well and we’re expecting a solid run from both today

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 4:
Pletcher brought (1) CHOCOLATE COOKIE back to the races last month after a being away for 10+ months. A tardy start didn’t help but she managed to get on track late to get 3rd. She now gets a cozy spot to save some ground early and let Irad do his thing later on. All systems go for today.
We use (4) Light In The Sky and (7) Kreesie underneath.

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:
Race 5:
Maiden special weight with NY bred horses and too tough in here to leave off (9) Key Point from the Chad Brown barn. This horse has been training extremely well and looking like it will be a prep run for him to graduate. With that said, (2) Pepe's Pride has the post position and Rudy Rodriguez gets his horse's ready to run first time out. I will play for the connection and assume this horse will get a great trip in here. (7) Cozzy's Attitude has a race under his belt and didn't perform too terribly. Rosario is taking the mount again and getting a firmer track; which should equate to a better performance. Last play will be (10) Happy Happy B who ran better than (9) Key Point in the prep workout coming in and should show some early speed. The barn is getting hot and going to ride the hot hand in here.

Race 6:
Another tough NY bred maiden special weight race in here, but still need to include the Chad Brown horse in (10) Skyward Princess. This horse looks great and getting Irad on grass is always a smart bet. (6) Cricket West looks really good in here and should be able to shoot from the gate to find a rail position. Manny closes strongly and this race will be won by the horse best positioned throughout. (7) Pimenova is going to be the speed in here and Luis has been nothing short of great out on the track. He will be a bully up front and will be a tough catch late. (9) Adversity from Arrogate is training extremely well in here and Tyler Gaffalione will not mess around. I like horses that I expect to be in the action early in these 2 year old races and this horse could be prepped for a big one.

Race 7:
(8) Sweeter is an interesting 12:1 shot in here. She closed a ton of ground or the front runners where backing up quickly when she got up in her maiden score. Then Baker tried to stretch her out twice since. I like the cut back to 7F for this Effinex to arrive late on the scene. Rosario returns and they should have plenty of targets up front to come after. (7) Malibu Luna is my top pick in here getting to a fast surface and back to her winning ways. This horse had a tough trip last time out and looks to be poised to run a big one this time out. Alvarado will position this horse well from the gate and the workouts indicate this horse is ready to run. (10) On A Tour is switching to dirt this time out and I like the move. This horse possesses speed and at this level could be the winning angle. I expect Irad to be aggressive early and look to wire the field in here or sit right behind the pace and press late.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 8:
Asmussen had quite a weekend and he’s looking to continue is winning ways. He sends out (5) SHOPLIFTED in this 7F sprint. He didn’t fare well at CD in his last two but recorded some fast times. He looks to have found the right field and gets regular rider to get him there. (2) MIHOS was claimed by Cox two back and he improved his time from the previous race. Rosario sticks around and with a sharp workout last week, I think he’s primed for a good performance. (3) BRIEFCASE BILLY is very interesting with Saez taking the mount. DeVaux is winning at a 50% clip and dirt seems to be his thing now. Solid works for this as well.

Race 9:
I’m not a fan of the favorite in here as Uncle’s Gem meets winners for the first time. You’re welcome to add her but I’ll pass and try to get by. (6) FRACTORZATION improved 2nd time out this year and now cuts back to a favorable 5.5F distance. Jose staying put on her is a positive sign. (8) MOSIENKO is the most intriguing to me. She was claimed three back, then tried Time Limit who returned to run big. She then closed fast to just miss last time. The switch to turf is the most notable here. She wants turf and should be coming home fast. (10) SNICKET is the sleeper in here. She almost got there in the mud but turf is her game. Rosario returns and the 5.5F fits like a glove.

Race 10:
We’ll use four to end this late Pick 3. (2) I AM THE LAW has one turf race in his career and it his best race yet. He drops slightly for this (3) AMANO is from Brown so you know he’ll take money. He too drops in for a tag and Brown won yesterday with the same move. A must use. (4) GROUP HUG moves back to the turf and gets a new rider. Maker is having a meet and looking to add to that win total. I’ll include a long shot, who could be looking to wire them. (9) COMPLICATE tried to steal it in his turf debut. With a shortage of speed, Lezcano will look to take advantage of that and go early.
