We are hoping it drys out in Saratoga on this Friday day of racing, but that is yet to be determined. We are typing this up the night before, so we will be monitoring. I will be focusing on taking down the early double and a spot pick 3 that covers the first three legs of the pick 6 (Race 5-7). Big Pete will have his "Plays of the Day" on a pair of races and the late pick 3 (Race 8-10). We appreciate you taking the time to take a look at this and GOOD LUCK.
Little Pete's $ 2.00 Early Double:
R1: 3, 7, 8
R2: 1 Cost: $15.00
Little Pete's $ 1.00 Spot Pick 3:
R5: 6, 11
R6: 3, 6, 7, 11
R7: 2, 4, 6, 9 Cost: $ 32.00
Big Pete's $ 1.00 Late Pick 3:
R8: 1, 11
R9: 1, 2, 3, 4
R10: 2, 10, 12, 16 Cost: $ 32.00
Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 3:
The MTO runner, (13) ADVANCE NOTICE will attract a lot of attention. With this now short field, he figures to have it his own way. We'll use on top and look for (20) TENURE and (1) BOURBAN MISSION to grab the place.
$ 7.00 Ex 13 w/ 1, 12 Cost $ 14.00
Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 4:
I like the move back against NY Breds for (5) EVALUATOR. He tried the turf last time and before that he tussled with Backsideofthemoon and Mr Buff. The kicker is that Saez jumps on and they won by a pole last year at the Spa. Big bullet in the morning for this.
$ 7.00 WPS 5 Cost $ 21.00
$ 7.00 Ex 5 w/ 1, 2, 6 Cost $ 21.00
Little Pete's $2.00 Early Double:
Race 1:
I will be including the two firster favorites in (7) Laoban's Legacy and (8) Sugar and Speights who are training extremely well and the trainers have high winning percentages with firsters. The horse I really like in here is (3) Sweet Sugar Baby who had a decent debut and gets the favorable post position. This horse should improve second time out and figures to grab the lead with the aggressive Saez aboard and with the Street Boss influence, the slop should be no problem.
$3.00 WPS 3 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex Box 3,7,8 Cost: $12.00
Race 2:
(1A) Hyperfocus is going to be extremely tough in here with a stalking position right behind the pace and running on with it late.
$5 .00 WPS 1 Cost: $ 15.00
Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:
Race 5:
(6) Speed Effect is getting back to dirt and will have the direction to find the lead and hold it. Luis loose on the lead is the horse I always like to invest in and hope this horse can hold on for a decent price. The class drop on (11) The Big Kahuna is going likely to be too much for the field and this horse is the most likely winner. The for sale sign is up and Luis is choosing elsewhere which makes me a bit uneasy, but getting Irad eliminates the stress.
$5.00 Ex Box 6,11 Cost: $10.00
Race 6:
(6) Street N Sour has a "Sharp" work in the mud at Kee that may set this Street Sense up nicely as he picks up Saez. (3) American Xperiment is a Nyquist who do well first out. It's Asmussen and Santana so there's a lot to like there. (7) Tokamak made a nice move in his debut and I like the switch to dirt for this Bal A Bali. (11) Bad To The Bones is my play as this Arrogate took money and closed ok. The mud probably moves this guy up so I'll trust Jose to get him home.
$3.00 WPS 11 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex 6,11 w/ 3,6,7,11 Cost: $12.00
$1.00 Ex 3,7 w/ 3,6,7,11 Cost: $6.00
Race 7:
(9) Runnnin' Ray has the Luis Saez on the lead tactic in here. He will seek the lead and if left alone he is always a tough catch. (6) Winter Pool is going to get an aggressive ride in here and should be stalking throughout. This horse will be running strongly late. (2) Homebrazo is coming in after an impressive win and a nice post position makes this horse a dangerous horse to sit right behind the pace and then run on with it. (4) Top Gun Tommy will be my last play in here who is finding good strides late and the stretch out should allow this horse to run home strongly; getting Jose Ortiz is a big plus.
$3.00 WPS 2 Cost: $9.00
$2.00 Ex 2,6 w/ 2,4,6,9 Cost: $12.00
$1.00 Ex 4,9 w/ 2,4,6,9 Cost: $6.00
Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 8:
This race lost all its luster when it came off the turf. MTO runner (11) CLAYNTHELIONHEART figures to be very short and very tough to beat. I won't blame you if you want to single to save some bankroll but keep in mind, this guy is 2 for 21 in the win column. With this short field, I'll try to wire them with (1) EYES ON TARGET. He's an Exaggerator and we all no what he did in the mud. Jr will gun this guy to the front and try to hold on late. Lone speed is not a bad thing especially with yesterdays track.
$ 7.00 WPS 1 Cost $ 21.00
$ 7.00 Ex Box 1, 11 Cost $ 14.00
Race 9:
We will include both of the Curlins in the Curlin Stake. (4) FIRST CAPTAIN has done everything right so far but today he tries two turns for the first time. He probably can handle it but these are young horses and still learning the game. (1) MILES D is bred to be a good one and with Brown at the controls, he can handle the jump in class. Figures to save ground and come late. I landed on the front runner (3) HARVARD. I'm guessing Saez with take this group to school on the front end. His score last time was very good and a Re-Pete of that might be good enough in here. We'll try to get by with these three
$ 7.00 WPS 3 Cost $ 21.00
$ 3.00 Ex 1, 3 w/ 1, 2, 3, 4 Cost $ 18.00
Race 10:
We'll close out this late Pick 3 using four runners. The one I like the most is the Super Saver filly (10) HIGHWAY QUEEN. Maker saw something in her and made the claim. She handled the dirt/off last year vs much better and meets a soft watered down field. MTO (16) CONSTITUTIONALRAGE draws in on the surface switch and drops to a more manageable group of runners. He's raced better on the turf but was an ok 3rd last time on dirt. (12) TO THE TUNE improved when they stretched her out and can handle the off. Johnny V looks to get revenge as they burnt a lot of money last time out. Something had to be wrong with (2) SHE'S ON POINT last time as she was awful. Now this Super Saver gets L1 and Jr is summoned.

Thanks Petes Picks. Good day today. Won Over $500.
