Friday racing at Belmont and we are looking to cover the entire card. I will be attacking the early double and a spot pick 3 that starts the pick 6 sequence (Races 4-6). Big Pete will have a "Play of the Day" and take down the late pick 3 (Races 7-9). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.

Little Pete's $2.00 Early Double:

R1: 3, 5, 7

R2: 3, 5 Cost: $12.00

Little Pete's $ 1.00 Spot Pick 3:

R4: 1, 3, 7

R5: 2, 5, 9

R6: 1, 3, 7 Cost: $ 27.00

Big Pete's $ 1.00 Late Pick 3:

R7: 3, 5, 6, 7

R8: 5, 7, 8, 10

R9: 2, 7, 9 Cost: $ 48.00

Little Pete's $2.00 Early Double:

Race 1:

(5) Tapalist and (7) Kumar look like the two horses to beat in here and must plays in this lower level race. Both of these horses should be forwardly placed and just be a little bit in more form then the rest of the field. (3) Heavy Roller is my wild card play as he runs well at Belmont and this one could break down late and could get the rail ride needed to save the ground late.

$3.00 WPS 7 Cost: $9.00

$3.00 Ex Box 3,5,7 Cost: $18.00

Race 2:

(3) Summer Silence looks really good in here against this field and there isn't much speed on paper to intimidate me to think this horse won't be able to run on with this one late. (5) Balthus is a firster from Chad Brown and Irad getting the mount. This horse is going to run a similar closing style race and the lack of speed on paper makes me believe that will be the winning race.

$3.00 WPS 5 Cost: $9.00

$5.00 Ex Box 3,5 Cost: $10.00

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 3:

Alw NW1X will go long on Big Sandy in Race 3. Brown has been running (1) PRIMACY at shorter distances and I think this Union Rags wants to go longer. She will have a few targets up front to stalk and Irad will wait for the right moment to let her loose. They will likely save the ground from the rail draw and wait for the speeds to start backing up.

I’ll use her with 3 & 4

$ 10.00 WPS 1 Cost $ 30.00

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:

Race 4:

Both of Clement runners look live in here. (7) Diamond Hands caught a yeilding turf and was able to close into a slow pace to grab 3rd. The "other" Jose takes the mount as oddly Rosario doesn't show up on either of Clements runners. (3) Gal In A Rush tries turf for the first time after a muddy dirt try. She exits a fast bunch sprinting and now makes the switch to this 1M turf event. Brown has (1) Miss You Ella and is bred to like the lawn and Irad gives it a spin.

$3.00 WPS 7 Cost: $ 9.00

$3.00 Ex Box 1, 3, 7 Cost: $18.00

Race 5:

We're scratched down to seven and I'm taking Granpa in here. The 8yr old (5) Tizzarunner has back to back runs that make him competative in this watered down field. He's fresh off the claim and takes a confident jump in class. (9) Seismic Wave seems to be tailing off but he is the class of this field. Maker claimed (2) Attentive at the Spa and he appears to be in good form. He doesn't have to improve much to beat this group.

$3.00 WPS 5 Cost: $9.00

$3.00 Ex Box 2, 5, 9 Cost: $18.00

Race 6:

I'm not going to over think this one. There are two colts each from both Brown and Pletcher. (3) Afjan out worked (7) Protonic last week so we'll lean at little more on the Uncle Mo. Brown has the entry and I'll side more with (1) Swing District as this Constitution has been here at Belmont for all his works. (1A) Systemic Change comes in from Monmouth and attracts Manny

$3.00 WPS 3 Cost: $9.00

$3.00 Ex Box 1, 3, 7 Cost: $18.00

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 7:

(7) JAXON TRAVELER has hit the board in all 9 starts and his last race was his best yet. I like the return to turf and Jose is back aboard. I’m confident Asmussen has him ready even though the works don’t show it. Rosario bails on the rail runner in favor of (6) BIG EVEREST. That was a big effort breaking his maiden at the Spa and now cuts back. It’s his first time against winners but he’s not meeting a very strong field. I’ll lean a little more on (5) SMOKIN JAY. With the addition of Saez, this Cairo Prince likely won’t get caught by (3) ARZAK this time. They should get first jump on the closers and get to the wire first.

$ 7.00 WPS 5 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 3, 5 w/ 3, 5, 6, 7 Cost $ 18.00

Race 8:

(5) CALDEE has speed and tries sprinting on the grass for the first time. If left alone, Manny gets him home first. With other speeds scratching, there’s a good shot of that happening. (8) TUSCAN QUEEN and (10) BYE BYE exit the same race and both were coming home fast. They need help up front or one or both have to go early to have a shot. (7) CAN’T BUY LOVE is the sleeper in here. She was gaining on Bye Bye in May and now picks up Saez. The 6F seems right for her and will be a price..

$ 7.00 WPS 5 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 5, 7 w/ 5, 7, 8, 10 Cost $ 18.00

Race 9:

I like two short prices and one bomb in the finale. (9) TELLAPERFECTTALE has two 2nd place finishes when facing Md Claimers and just missed at the Spa. Castellano jumps on for the first time and he will watch what happens from the outside draw. She has some speed so I expect her to stalk and come with her late run. (2) BONANA FANNA FOE exits the same race and I like her a little more. She figures to save some ground which will help turn the table on Tale. The addition of Jose is hard to pass up so we’ll single this gal in the WPS play. The ridiculous one I’ll include is (7) REELEY PSYCHED. Her best race was sprinting on the grass but she shouldn’t mind the dirt. The slight drop in class and cut back to 6F makes her very interesting.

$ 7.00 WPS 2 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 2, 9 w/ 2, 7, 8, 9 Cost $ 18.00
