Final weekend at Belmont for the summer and we have a stacked card on the Gr.1 Belmont Oaks day. We are going to remain consistent and attack a pair of pick 3 plays that covers the pick 6 sequence. I will be attacking races 6-8 and Big Pete will be focused on races 9-11. We also will have our "Play of the Day" on a race or two that we would like to try and improve the bankroll on. We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.

Race 5:

There are three horses that will go back and forth for being the favorite in this one and I am leaning towards the inside. (1) Trinni Luck had her best race to date last time out and I do not think a horse on the lead in here will win this one. I think the trip will set this horse up for an impressive stretch drive against tiring horses. I think Manny will be aggressive to find a rail position early and then allow the race to come to them. We should get a 5/2 or 2/1 on this horse and that will be a nice pay day if we can get a price underneath.

$5.00 WPS 1 Cost: $15.00

$3.00 Ex 1 w/ 3,4,6,7 Cost: $12.00

Race 2:

(2) SUMMER BOURBON is expected to get the perfect set up he needs. There could be speed from several runners in here. Bourbon was a consistent competitor in his early years still shows up every now and then. The switch to Lezcano makes all the difference here. He’s riding well and they figure to save some ground from the 2 hole. We should get all of the 12:1 ML and a decent run for our money.

We’ll use (1) Financialstabilty and (8) Clear The Mine in our exacta.

$ 7.00 WPS 2 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Exacta Box 1, 2, 8 Cost $ 18.00

We’ll also try to collect on a Daily Double play with SUMMER BOURBON and use:

(4) Caramocha and (5) Destinationwnrcir in the 3rd.

$ 7.00 Double 2 w/ 4, 5 Cost $ 14.00

Race 6:

I will be including the favorite in here with (5) Dr. Blute as this horse is coming in with good form and the switch back to grass should make this horse a threat throughout. I just really like two horses to the outside in (10 Chrome Dixie and (11) Danfusi. I really like Saez getting the mount on (11) Danfusi in here with the speed this horse possesses. I think the place to be on this softer track is towards the front. This horse has shown the ability to find the lead, but has also given it up late. I think Saez will be a bully out there and makes this a tough horse to pass late. (10) Chrome Dixie is going to be forwardly placed as well in here. I think that Manny will be able to draft behind the pace to his outside and be able to navigate a nice trip throughout with plenty of speed late. My last play will be (3) Scocciatore who is a horse with the post position and the late closing speed I like as well. This will be a race about the trip the horse gets and I like this horse to be placed well throughout under Cancel.

$3.00 WPS 11 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 10,11 w/ 3,5,10,11 Cost: $12.00

$1.00 Ex 3,5 w/ 3,5,10,11 Cost: $6.00

Race 7:

(5) Santa Barbara is intimidating coming in from over seas and I have to include this horse. I also will take the other two outside the US runners in (2) Cirona and (6) Nazuna. It just sometimes is night and day when comparing US and Europe horses on grass. I think the outsiders are the most likely winners in here, but will give some love to the greatest country in the world. My US horse I will go with (8) Gam's Mission who will be passing horses late with a vengeance.

$3.00 WPS 6 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 5,6 w/ 2,5,6,8 Cost: $12.00

$1.00 Ex 2,8 w/ 2,5,6,8 Cost: $6.00

Race 8:

The two favorites in here exiting the same race, (3) Miss Brazil and (7) Australasia, are must plays and should be battling each other on the lead. The horse I like to compete for this one is (4) Ova Charged. I am pulling for an upset in this one and think that Saez will be aggressive throughout. I am playing the angle that the jockeys on the favorites will be overthinking this one and try and save some energy against each other late. This is where Saez's aggressiveness comes in to play. Saez will have one mission and that is to be on the lead. I will hope that there will be too much thinking behind him and he can build a head start come stretch drive that cannot be overcome.

$3.00 WPS 4 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex Box 3,4,7 Cost: $12.00

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 9:

O’Brien ships in (2) BOLSHOI BALLET and a lot of chatter that this guy could be special. He’s a Galileo so it’s not that surprising that going long on the turf is his thing. We’ll put on top and look for two prices to clean up the mess for 2nd. (4) SAINTHOOD has a win in the slop and a 2nd on synthetic, his two best races. Most turf runners handle those two surfaces IMO, so the move to turf for this guy makes sense. The other shipper (7) TOKYOGOLD improved when he stretched out last time. They must think they have a shot as Johnny V takes the mount. We’ll try to get by with these three to kick off this late Pick 3.

$ 7.00 Ex 2 w/ 4, 7, 8 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 4, 7 w/ 2, 4, 7 Cost $ 12.00

Race 10:

Two solid place finishes for (3) RANGER FOX will draw a lot of attention. There doesn’t appear to be too much speed entered so this guy might be able to last today. (11) DEREGULATION was three lengths behind the Fox and now gets and extra furlong to catch him. He looks like the horse to beat. I’ll take the Candy Ride colt (8) MIGRATE. He’s out of a Carson City mare so 7F on the turf is perfect. Had some trouble when behind the Fox but Jr is riding well these days and will be right there late. (9) EVERESTING ran ok for Joseph Jr when they shipped North last time. He ran faster down in sunny Florida so they call on Jose to find those races.

$ 7.00 WPS 8 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 8, 11 w/ 3, 8, 9, 11 Cost $ 18.00

Race 11:

I’ll use three geldings exiting the Attentive race on June 19th. (12) BORU ran well first off the claim for Miceli as they may have him back I form. (11) NOBLE THOUGHT may have waited too long to mount his charge so Rosario gets the call. They won the last time he was up. (4) MANDATE never threatened and but did get on track late. The switch to Jose means we may have a live one for Potts. I’ll take a shot with the speed

(5) REJECTED AGAIN. Saez jumps on for the ride. He just missed when facing this level three back, then tried better. This race lacks speed and Luis will take advantage of that up front. I’m all in that they don’t catch him today.

$ 7.00 WPS 5 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 5, 12 w/ 4, 5, 11, 12 Cost $ 18.00
