We have a ton of Saturday action at Gulfstream today on Pegasus day and we are locked in. I will be taking down a spot double (Races 5-6) and the first three races in the PK6 sequence with a pick 3 play (Races 7-9) . Big Pete will have his full breakdown on his "Play of the Days" and the late pick 3 (Races 10-12); he gets the big boy race in the 11th. We really appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.

Little Pete's $2.00 Spot Double:

R5: 1, 4, 9

R6: 1, 4, 6, 7
Cost: $24.00

Little Pete's $0.50 Spot Pick 3:

R7: 1, 8, 9, 10

R8: 2, 3, 7, 8

R9: 1, 4, 9, 10

Cost: $32.00

Big Pete's $ 1.00 Late Pick 3:

R10: 1, 4, 6

R11: 6, 8, 9, 12

R12: 1, 4, 8

Cost: $ 36.00

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 4:

There are a few firsters that are drawing a lot of attention via the connections and jocks. I can't resist the jock change to Rosario on (11) POSITIVE REVIEW. He was bet heavy in both of his starts and ran just ok. Today he gets L1 and an extra furlong. He has the speed to position himself down the backstretch and wait for his signal to go.

$ 7.00 WPS 11 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex Box 8, 11, 12 Cost $ 18.00

Little Pete's Spot Double:

Race 5:

(1) Sorrel on the insidepost will be getting an aggressive ride from the gate and be on the rail throughout this one. I trust Irad to sustain a forward placed race in here and wait for the moment down the stretch to let this horse run. (4) Always Shopping is going to be a tough catch in here on the lead. There is some speed in here, but I wouldn't be surprised if Tyler finds himself alone on the lead (which he excels at). (9) Honor Hop is my last play in here to be forwardly placed early with the compromising outside position. I think that Leparoux will need to get this horse involved throughout this erace and I think can wear down the field late if the race shapes up for the front runners.

$3.00 WPS 1 Cost: $9.00

$3.00 Ex Box 1,4,9 Cost: $18.00

Race 6:

(1) Mischief Afoot is a horse that I like on the inside and getting back to a mile distance. I think Jose Ortiz will be able to find that rail early and have plenty of horse late to compete for this one. (4) Frosted Over is fitting for the Northeast this weekend (Nice reference by me) and should be on the lead throughout this one. I trust Luis Saez on any horse that possesses speed and will be a dangerous horse throughout. (6) Fighting Force is a horse that I like to be the strongest down the stretch and if there is an early pace battle then this horse is a serious contender. (7) Telephone Talker from the Saffie Joseph barn is my top play in here to have a strong lane run down the stretch and I think will get the best ride out of the bunch under Tyler Gaffalione.

$3.00 WPS 7 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 1,7 w/ 1,4,6,7 Cost: $12.00

$1.00 Ex 4,6 w/ 1,4,6,7 Cost: $6.00

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:

Race 7:

(1) Temple to the inside will get an aggressive ride from the CA rider, Umberto Rispoli, and he knows how to handle the grass (Talking about the turf). (8) Bakers Bay is a horse that I really like in here to have a ground saving ride late and really compete for the wire. (9) Glynn County has a bullet workout coming in and the deserving morning line favorite. Tyler should get this horse forwardly placed from the break and have a strong kick late to compete. (10) Abaan is a Saez/Pletcher combo in here and a must play for me. This horse is going to look to continue his dominance and wire the field.

$3.00 WPS 1 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 1,9 w/ 1,8,9,10 Cost: $12.00

$1.00 Ex 8,10 w/ 1,8,9,10 Cost: $6.00

Race 8:

We have a competitive race 8 in here and I landed on four horses in here. (2) A G Indy has been impressive each time this horse has stepped on the course and I love Saez on this speed horse. (3) Dance D'Oro is another horse that possesses plenty of speed and this sprint should set this horse up for an impressive run. (7) Jakarta is an impressive 7 year old and getting Irad Ortiz back aboard is a big bump for me. (8) Just One Time is my top play in here with the expectation that this horse will hit the lead and never give it up. I trust Rosario/Cox connection as we have seen it in the past (Go, Knicks GO in the 12th).

$3.00 WPS 8 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 2,8 w/ 2,3,7,8 Cost: $12.00

$1.00 Ex 3,7 w/ 2,3,7,8 Cost: $6.00

Race 9:

(1) Sweet Melania is a must play in here for me and I expect Plether/Saez to have a great afternoon! This horse has the post position and the ability to close strongly and sit on the lead and win. (4) Regal Glory is a horse that I just can't leave off the ticket on grass and the Ortiz/Brown connection should signal a late kick down the stretch. (9) Shifty She is another horse that will show plenty of speed throughout and this horse looks poised to run a big one throughout. (10) In a Hurry is my last play in here as the horse closing the strongest down the lane. This horse has three triple beyer speed races coming into this and Castellano will be set up far outside down the stretch to let this horse run.

$3.00 WPS 1 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 1,9 w/ 1,4,9,10 Cost: $12.00

$1.00 Ex 4,10 w/ 1,4,9,10 Cost: $6.00

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 10:

(6) LIAM may be considered the rabbit to soften up Speaker’s Corner, but this guy has some talent. Irad should get to the front but needs to catch a breather to take them all the way. His stablemate (1) FEARLESS is Saez’s choice so I’ll side with him. They figure to sit right behind the speed dual and find a seam when it counts. (4) OFFICIATING will get lost in the betting but I like this Blame stretching out to the 1M. He has back to back wins on this Gulf dirt so if the top two stub their toe, he’ll T them up late. (8) SPEAKER’S CORNER must deal with Liam and the outside draw. If Jr. can figure that out before the first turn, he has the talent to come out on top.

$ 7.00 WPS 1 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex Box 1, 4, 6 Cost $ 18.00

Race 11:

Pletcher has a pair of Ace's (12) NEVER SURPRISED is very good right now but Saez will need to work out a trip from out there. There's enough time to the first turn but there is plenty of speed that he'll need to clear. (6) COLONEL LIAM is coming off a long layoff but he gets regular rider, Irad up and is working well for his return. I sided with Brown's runner. (8) SACRED LIFE. Jose returns and their last race jumps off the page. Just missed going shorter than today's 9F distance and the 6:1 ML is very enticing. She beat (9) FIELD PASS two back but Field will get first jump on the closers and may prove tough to pass late.

$ 7.00 WPS 8 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 6, 8 w/ 6, 8, 9, 12 Cost $ 18.00

Race 12:

(1) KNICKS GO or (4) LIFE IS GOOD. Both have had a great year and we've been waiting for this match up. I've never been a fan of "Knicks Go" but he has proven me wrong every time. If he can out hoof Life early, Rosario can nurse him along and win it again. "Life" seems faster to me and will be gunned to the front as well. Both jocks want the front and that leads me to my ridiculous pick (8) ENDORSED. This Medaglia D'oro, out of a Tapit mare finally gets distance to run down the front runners late. He's clearly not in the same league as the top two but the race seems to set up perfect for him. I like the switch to Rispoli as well as he's been doing ok lately. Endorsed has been working fast leading up to this and will be a price.

$ 7.00 WPS 8 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex Box 1, 4, 8 Cost $ 18.00
