We are looking to play another spot pick 3 and the late pick3 today at Gulfstream. We have another beautiful day for racing, and may mess around and watch these races from the backyard. We hope everyone has continued to remain safe and will be enjoying this small distraction as much as we will be. GOOD LUCK.

R8: 3, 5, 6, 10
R9: 2, 3, 5, 6
R10: 2, 7, 9
Cost: $24.00
Big Pete's Late $0.50 Pick 3:
R10: 2, 3, 4, 6
R11: 1, 6, 9
R12: 3, 5, 8, 10
Cost: $24.00
Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:
Race 8:
I am going to go four deep in the first leg because I couldn't narrow it down from these four. Irad has (6) Moon Eyes from the Mike Maker barn and it is stretching out for the first time, and I think Irad will have plenty of horse to close well on this field. (10) Karenina consistently hits the board at this level, and just couldn't talk myself in to leaving this horse off. (3) For Kicks has shown good closing ability and I anticipate a hot pace to open the window for this horse. Lastly, I will include the ascending (5) Henny's Treasure with Gaffalione aboard who is also exiting a key race and could be live out there today.
$1.00 Ex Box 3,5,6,10 Cost: $12.00
Race 9:
All six of the horses in this short field have a case to win this one, but I have to be a little decisive and will leave it at my top three. (6) Boerne has to be on your ticket riding in on two consecutive impressive wins. (5) Velvet Crush coming in off a long lay off, but has the class and workout leading in to make me put on ticket. (3) Spanish Point is my most likely winner here with the speed rider of Jaramillo; who had a nice day yesterday. Screw it, I am throwing in (2) Sweet Mia as well, because I am not going to be beaten by Irad with a good horse.
$3.00 WPS 3 Cost: $9.00
$1.00 Ex Box 2,3,5,6 Cost: $12.00
Race 10:
Bill Mott is trying to collect a check with (9) Stock Trade and is going to be my horse to beat in this one. I will include two other horses just to have some coverage in the last leg, but feel (9) Stock Trade is the horse to beat. (2) Souper Courage is going to be stalking the lead and depending on how the race pans out this horse could be flying by the leaders late. (7) Gins and Tins is going to be my last play and we should get a good number on this horse. This horse has shown sustained racing throughout his previous races and I think the sustained ride of this horse will make him a strong contender late.
$2.00 Ex Box 2,7,9 Cost: $12.00
Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 10:
There is no speed entered here so whoever gets aggressive will have the advantage. I think that will be (2) SOUPER COURAGE today. If Jaramillo can dictate the fractions, they may not catch him. The opposite of that is (3) DEVOTED KITTEN. He likes to lag in the back and make his late charge. If he stays within the zip code of the speed, he has the closing kick to run them all down as he did in Jan. I’ll lean heavy on him today. Both (4) MACHIAVELLI and (6) OUTSHINE have similar stalking styles and must be used as well, as they’ve faced better in the past and post quality runs every so often.
$7.00 WPS 3 Cost: $21.00
$3.00 Ex 2,3 w/ 2,3,4,6 Cost: $18.00
Race 11:
I’m not usually attracted to fillies that have a year between races but, (1) AURELIA GARLAND may be the exception. Her breezes have been like clockwork and her debut figure is higher than most of the other’s career number. Most of these fillies want the lead so there figures to be a lot of action up front early. Saez will put her in position so if Aurelia is ready, he’ll just be along for the ride. (9) CORY GAL is the speed of the speeds so if by chance she gets a breather, she can take them all the way. A little class relief for (6) FUJAIRAH may wake this gal up to grab a piece late.
$7.00 WPS 1 Cost: $21.00
$3.00 Ex Box 1,6,9 Cost: $18.00
Race 12:
Most of these are trying 9F for the first time. I’ll use those that have it in their DNA to get the trip. The one I’ll key on is (8) KING ORB. Came to life last time and gets the extra furlong to go by. (5) KEEP QUIET drops and get Gaff to weave in and out of trouble. Will be right there when close to home. (3) TOTONO is my wise guy pick. He too drops and moves back to the turf. He wasn’t that far behind Proven Strategies who returned yesterday to post a gutsy win. (10) BOURBON IN MAY has Irad and Pletcher. Enough said.
