Gulfstream 5/16 Spot & Late Pick 3

We are slowly getting back to somewhat normal with Churchill Downs opening up today, and we will have a nice little bonus ticket from the card. We will continue to look in to taking down the Gulfstream card and will have a couple of pick 3 plays today. Race 6:

I am going to take a stand in the first leg here and single (5) Green Light Go. I think this horse is much the class in this one and should be able to handle this field pretty easily. I will throw the rest of the six horse field underneath to try and catch the exacta.

Race 7:

With scratches bringing this field down to a four horse field I am going with the single of (6) Kroy. Not much more to dive in to as this horse is the one to beat.

Race 8:

This is where I am playing to get a price to try and have a somewhat nice payout in the pick 3 pool. I am going to use the entire field and hoping the likely favorite (5) Untitled runs in to a quick pace. I don't know how to feel being that I think this pick 3 is going to be pretty straight forward. Am I getting suckered in to playing the pick 6? (Yes).

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 9:

Off the turf event now so (3) BELLA CIAO becomes the main player here. Is proven at the 1M distance and Irad has already figured out how to put her in the winners circle as he did it last time. She will need to catch the speedy (2) JAKARTA, who will try to stretch out today.

Race 10:

I’m not convince (7) LADY’S ISLAND is as fast as she was last year. Also, the 7F may be just out of her comfort zone. Pletcher and Saez again w/ (2) BELLERA get the nod for me. She cuts back to the 7F distance and should collar the fav mid stretch. She’ll have to hold off the 7F specialist (3) WILDWOOD’S BEAUTY today. She always seems to come up just short but look who shows up on her back. Irad can add a few lengths to any horse and that’s all she needs.

Race 11:

It will be difficult to leave (10) STORM THE BRIDGE off the ticket. Has posted higher numbers than all of these and gets the best rider down there. He’s up for sale so you need to include others. The name doesn’t fit (4) MIGHTY FAST, but he may be fast enough to handle these. There’s not a lot of speed in here, so if the fav takes a bad step, he can take them all the way. Seems like (9) CAPTAIN YENNER is the only one that can make up any ground in the stretch. Or at least maintain his stride as the others fade to give the illusion that he is gaining ground.

Churchill Early Double:

Race 1:

We’ll kick off the Churchill meet with an early double. These MCL runners in the opener will be staggering home in the stretch. We’ll have to include the Stewart dropper (12) BAUDETTE BLIZZRD as he exits MSW company and cuts back to 7F. Will be a handful today. I’ll try to get longshot (8) FARS GLITTER to hit the board for some value. He too cuts back and drops slightly. He was making up ground last time before getting into trouble late in the race. Worth a look a big odds. Wet track would only help.

Race 2:

(9) RAHWAY’s two best races have come on this Churchill oval. Ships in and drops for a tag against a fairly week group. Geroux typically gets live mounts at this meet so this one should get him off on the right foot. (3) STROLLIN THE BAYOU is fresh off the claim two back. Ran ok for the new connections while trying the turf. Now returns to the dirt and gets his preferred wet surface
