We are looking to close this weekend on a winning note at Gulfstream. We are going to be playing a spot PK3 for races 6-8, and feel pretty good about the fields. I love beating Big Pete in anything, so thought we could have our individual PK3 plays go against each other. You can play either of our picks or you could use a combination of them with your insight. We hope that everyone has enjoyed the small distraction down in South Florida this weekend, and look forward to when racing gets back next week. I wore a collar for the first time yesterday and it felt like I was wearing a tux; what a time to be alive. Hope you all are playing along with the vertical plays as well and GOOD LUCK. Will retweet any plays you make and post to twitter that you tag us in.

Race 6:
Big Pete:
Clement has two entered and both look solid. (3) NO NO NINA took a lot of money in her debut but didn’t perform that well on the off the turf event. She’s meant for the turf and gets the hot Gaff again. Stable mate (5) AVENCULAR had an eventful return last Month so we’ll forgive her. Ran big in debut back in July and now tries turf. The firster out of Orb (2) BACKSIDE BEAUTY put in a quick breeze last week for this. Doesn’t have to be a powerhouse to beat these.
$3.00 Ex Box 2,3,5 Cost: $18.00
Little Pete:
The opening leg to the PK3 is going to be a competitively ran race at this sprint distance. My top selection will be (1) Gotta Go Mo, but this is going to be a shootout down the stretch so going to need to include more. The two Clemente horses are a must play here, (3) No No Nina and (5) Avuncular. Both horses are young and have limited race experience, but Clemente always gets the best out of his horses the more time he is able to work with them. (4) I'm PrayingForThat has closed very well on grass in previous races and I expect improvement from this horse. (6) Sunnymede Dream is cutting back in distance and getting to a sprint where this horse can use some of her early speed to get in a good position to wire this field. (9) Meadow Beauty lost his rider the first time out and I expect Mark Casse to have this horse ready to roll this time out. (10) LeftAtTheAltar has a bullet workout leading in and taking this horse as a price to see what she is capable of.
$5.00 WPS 1 Cost: $15.00
Race 7:
Big Pete:
The focus will be on (4) SUBSIDIARY with the presence of Tyler. She most likely needs to be included but, I’m looking at others to take her down. (6) SKY CHASER fits here. There is plenty of speed to set this stalker up to come and get them. I’ll lean heavy on her but I’ll also include (7) FOREVER MARTA. She’s better at sprinting, so the 6F will work in her favor today. If the top two take the afternoon off, Marta will be the one.
$7.00 WPS 7 Cost: $21.00
$3.00 Ex Box 4,6,7 Cost: $18.00
Little Pete:
I made sure we spread ourselves out in the first leg because of this single in the 7th. Tyler Gaffalione is on an absolute tear and has the horse to beat in this one, and it is not looking good that he will be. I will have this horse as a single with all the others underneath for the exacta, and we are on to the next race.
$2.00 Ex 4 w/ ALL Cost: $12.00
Race 8:
Big Pete:
(6) VOODOO ZIP will be included but seems to like 2nd better. Maybe he was facing slightly better than this group so he’ll get included. I’m interested in the Kitten’s Joy colt (7) MECHA CORTA at a price. Was only 5 lengths off Voodoo two back in his debut, then followed it up with a nice rally going longer and wider around the oval. Comes back to the 1M distance and gets a rider switch. (11) SHAMROCKET is worth including returned off the layoff to close nicely posting a fast time. I don’t think we’ll get 6:1 ML here because he is a major player here with Rosario.
$5.00 WPS 7 Cost: $15.00
$3.00 Ex 7,11 w/ 6,7,11 Cost: $12.00
Little Pete:
Tyler has the favorite again in this one and is a must play with (6) Voodoo Zip, but going to cover ourselves a little bit deeper in this one. (3) Scanno and (4) Express Pharoah are both exiting the same race where they placed and showed, but both ran a good race. This cut back in distance could have these horses better rested to have a late big charge. (8) Riggins is a firster with Saez/Pletcher combinations and is the son of Liam's Map; which makes this horse a play first time out for me. I am going to also play (10) Reliability and (11) Shamrocket, because I think both have a good chance to close well on grass against this field with a quick early pace.
