Gulfstream 4/30 Spot & Late Pick 3

Back at it in Gulfstream this afternoon and we have found a liking to these two PK3 plays. I will be doing a spot PK3 play for races 7-9, and Big Pete will be doing the late PK3 for races 9-11. We will also have some vertical plays in each of these races to try and hedge our PK3 tickets. GOOD LUCK.
Little Pete's Spot $0.50 Pick 3:

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:
Race 7:
(1) Bean Counter is going to be a tough beat here and could be a single for me. I like Gaffalione aboard (3) Augusta Moon who I anticipate to battle (1) Bean Counter throughout this one, so I will include for a little extra coverage. I will throw in (4) Bramble Bay to hit the board for the exacta with Irad aboard, but I think the other two have more ability in this one. I will also include (8) Indicia to hit the board with a jockey improvement and the closing ability needed to pass the tiring horses in this one.

Race 8:
It is tough to trust just one horse in a maiden claiming race, so will spread a little bit in this one. My top selection is going to be (8) Bourbon Street who seems to continually improve each time out and this could be the field he needs to get to the winner's circle. (7) Chill Haze is a Joseph, Jr. claim who needs to be included. (9) Speedy Hans and (10) Fast Magic are both horses that I like, but do not love in this one; which means obviously I will throw money at them and include.

Race 9:
(8) Yolanda's Pride is red hot and has the best jockey in the game aboard, so must play. (11) Admiral's Win is taking a slight drop in class and should have a good stalking position to close well on the field. (9) Run Devil is also in good form and should be there late. (1) Ghostly Beauty just came up short against (8) Yolanda's Pride last time out and a redemption run could be in order, so will include. Lastly, I will include (2) Sister Otoole who is moving to a claiming race and Saez is choosing to ride, so must anticipate a good ride.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 9:
(2) SISTER OTOOLE seems to like the turf as she put together back to back runs that would make her very competitive today. She’s lightly raced and faces many contenders who have had many chances but seem to come up short. (8) YOLANDA’S PRIDE will try to steal it up front and (1) GHOSTLY BEAUTY will follow Otoole’s move and try to pass her late.

Race 10:
I’ll key two runners here. (4) FLAT AWESOME JENNY is the one I want. This Flat Out should handle the 1M and seems to like the GP dirt. Davis will have plenty of speed to come get them late in the game. The other stalker/closer is (2) MIDNIGHT SOIREE. Her best races are on turf but, her most recent run indicates that she can perform just as well on the dirt.

Race 11:
We’ll finish this sequence with the Kitten’s Joy gelding (8) SPINNING KITTEN to come on strong at the end. Rodriguez almost got there last time and will look to time it right today. Anything can happen at this bottom level claiming ranks so we’ll look for prices as well. (1) BACANO may be the sleeper here. Made up some ground last time, then tired. The switch to Zayas will hopefully keep him closer then last and close like he has shown in the past. (10) BYE BYE MAN is interesting at a price. Was 2 lengths behind some contenders in here the last race and Landeros is finally winning some races.
