Gulfstream 4/24 Spot Pick 3 & Late Pick 3

We are going to go at it again with a couple of pick 3 plays today. I am going to key in on race 6-8, and Big Pete is going to tackle race 8-10; little overlap, but a very good time. We will also have some vertical plays in each of these races as well to try and hedge our plays a bit.
Little Pete's Spot $0.50 Pick 3:
R6: 2, 4
R7: 1, 4, 6, 7, 8
R8: 2, 3, 5, 8

R9: 1, 3
R10: 1, 3, 8, 9

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:
Race 6:
Two horse race to start the ticket with (2) Simple Story and (4) Golden Garter. I am leaning towards the (2) Simple Story to have plenty of stamina left and win this race down the stretch, but want to hedge a bit with (4) Golden Garter.

Race 7:
(4) Combination will be my top play here with Saez aboard and should have a stalking trip and pass the tiring horses late in the race. I like the two outside horses exiting the same race in (7) Joe Di Baggio and (8) Kyle, and I think that translate well to this race. (6) Phantom Ro is taking a class drop here and will be some trouble late, so will include. My last play will be (1) Krammy Boy who is getting the distance where he excels most and is looking to be in good form from last time out.

Race 8:
(2) Secret Stash's trainer, Mark Casse, has been red hot in Gulfstream and has a handful of a horse in this one, so will include. (3) Eve of War should like the stretch out and if she has a good break I see this horse having all it takes to be best here. (5) Skye Snow will get to the early lead and this horse should be able to handle the fractions to win this one. (8) Lady Panda is my closer here and she should be right there late, so will include.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 8:
(3) EVE OF WAR is begging for turf and she gets it today. Her maiden score, on the dirt, was scary good so when she steps on the lawn, could she possibly get better. I’m a believer. Watch and enjoy. (6) ELLA BRILLA is the one danger I would include. Lynch is having a good meet and this Kitten’s Joy broke her maiden at this classic filly distance. Casse ships in (2) SECRET STASH who may have needed her last. Placed in a G3 event.

Race 9:
This one will be a (1) SLAM DUNK for me. Got 3rd in the G1 Frizette and then jogged in the slop at Churchill. She faces a few turf runners and a few professional NW1X life timers today. If we get the 3:1 ML, the mortgage is in jeopardy. Saez will do his thing on (3) GRACEFULL PRINCESS but they’ll have to settle for 2nd best and complete this cold exacta. (7) SHREWDNESS can handle the distances so if she doesn’t mind the dirt in her face, she’ll have a shot at the exacta.

Race 10:
With the scratch of Candy Coma,this finale may only be worth (8) FIFTY CENTS of your money, BUT, we’ll need to include to cash this late Pk3. Figures to be a short price as Saez sticks around for the finale. His best race to date was sprinting at this distance facing slightly better. I’ll take a stab with a firster. Levy has three 2nd from three starts and will look to gain some weight advantage with the bug up on (9) SWINGIN ON A STAR. This Exchange Rate out of a Congrats Mare screams turf. If Mario can keep him close early his pedigree can help him finish in the lane. Will use the other firster (3) KOBE FIFTY TWO who also should like the lawn.
