We are right back at it today at Gulfstream and we are going to key in on two ticket plays today with the early double and the late PK4. We will also have some vertical plays in each of these races and hope that we can cash in on these big fields. If you have any other angles you are looking at in any of these races that we did not touch on then please let us know on Twitter (@PetesPicks1) or email (PetesPicksBlog@gmail.com). GOOD LUCK

$3.00 Early Double:

R1: 1, 10

R2: 2, 3, 10

Cost: $18.00

$0.50 Late Pick 4:

R9: 1,5,8,9,12

R10: 2,7

R11: 2,6,7,9

R12: 1,4,8,10

Cost: $80.00

Race 1:

Big Pete:

(1) TRULY moves back to the turf and drops slightly for Zayas today. Will sit behind the speed and get first jump on the closers. I’ll single this one in my double. Not a fan of the other short priced ladies so I’ll look for (10) BETTIN ONNA KITTEN to pass the tiring runners and sneak into the exacta.

$5.00 Ex 1 w/ 7,10 Cost: $10.00

Little Pete:

I like two horses in this one with the inside post, (1) Truly, who is consistent at this distance on grass, and this field looks to be the one she needs to break the maiden. The other horse I like is a bit of a price in (10) Betta Onna Kitten. I like the weight relief she is getting with Cristian Torres and I see this horse graduating in this race to break her maiden. She has continued to improve and I think this could be the maiden breaker.

$2.00 Ex 1,10 w/ 1,2,10,11 Cost: $12.00

Race 2:

Big Pete:

(2) DAT HOT MATCH tried to close last time while 5 wide around the turf course. Naturally, she wasn’t able to gain ground in the stretch using all that energy on the turn. Pompay switches to Vasquez to work out a better trip. Will need to catch Lius and (3) MYSTIC COMIN HOME who should be out there winging on the front end. If no goes with her early, she may be tough to catch.

$3.00 Ex 2,3 w/ 2,3,10 Cost: 12.00

Little Pete:

I landed on two horses in this one and they are the two best jockeys in the race. I think that (3) Mystic Comin Home has Saez aboard who will look to bring this horse to the early lead and see if they can wire the field. (10) Markistan with Gaffalione aboard will be my other play as the horse to try and beat (3) Mystic Comin Home down the stretch.

$5.00 Ex Box 3,10 Cost: $10.00

Race 9:

Big Pete:

(1) HIGH ROAD has been searching for turf since Aug and now she gets her chance. The race comes up short on speed so she will try to control it from the start. The rail and the 1M gives her the advantage. (12) BEINVILLE STREET will need to work out a trip from way out there. She looks like the main closer of this bunch that will be gobbling up ground late. (8) RISEFORTHECAUSE probably needed her last and should have some extra finishing punch today.

$3.00 Ex Box 1,8,12 Cost: $18.00

Little Pete:

We have a big and competitive field here and I think I am going to stick to two horses. (5) Always Shopping has a bullet workout coming in and I think the move to grass will benefit this horses closing speed. I also like the class drop on (9) Art of Almost who will be there late as well.

$2.00 Ex 5,9 w/ 3,5,7,8,9 Cost: $16.00

Race 10:

Big Pete:

Nothing clever here as we’ll lean on the two logical winners and put our trust in Saez or Gaff to get us to the next race. (2) BLUE MOON faced better off his maiden score and now finds a softer spot. Big bullet work last week for this. Gaff lands on (7) CAUSALISTIC instead of two others he rode last time. This Tonalist is fresh off the Maker claim so improvement is expected.

$3.00 Ex 2,7 w/ 1,2,7 Cost: $12.00

Little Pete:

I think we should use all six horses in this race, but if we have to be selective in this one then I will go with (2) Blood Moon who I anticipate to have a strong showing against this field second time out from the claim for Danny Gargan. We will see how Big Pete wants to play this one.

$5.00 WPS 2 Cost: $15.00

Race 11:

Big Pete:

(6) HIDDEN FACTS faced some professional sprinters last time and didn’t disappoint. A little relief should do the trick. (9) KITTEN’S COVERGIRL gets Saez so she should get the right trip to be competitive here. We’ll lean heavy on those two.

$5.00 WPS 6 Cost: $15.00

$3.00 Ex 6,9 w/ 4,6,9 Cost: $12.00

Little Pete:

I landed on (2) Miss Auramet in this one to close strongly in this grass sprint. I think we should also include (7) Lady Grace who has plenty of speed and the right jockey on grass. I also like (3) Stylishly to stalk the quick early pace and close well against tiring horses.

$2.00 Ex Box 2,3,7 Cost: $12.00

Race 12:

Big Pete:

Tough bunch of MCL to close out the pick 4. I’ll spread with (1) MOHANNA QUENN, (4) RYE STREET and (8) PARTY DRESS to get it done here. Party Dress is my top pick to gun to the lead and hold on for dear life.

$5.00 WPS 8 Cost: $15.00

$3.00 Ex 4,8 w/ 1,4,8 Cost: $12.00

Little Pete:

(10) Honest Gal is the likely winner here as she is the only one who has shown any ability on the track to date. I think we may have to spread out a little more to close this PK4, but (10) Honest Gal is the likely winner. (8) Party Dress has Jaramillo aboard and this horse could be ready to go this time out with this field. (7) Arching had some more time to figure out the gate and could be a contender if he allows himself to be.(4) Rye Street should be included for the connections alone with Saez/Maker.

$1.00 Ex Box 4,7,8,10 Cost: $12.00
