We are carrying in some momentum with the late PK3 hit we had yesterday, and obviously that inflated my head. Today we are going to make two separate horizontal plays and provide some vertical plays in each of those races as well. We hope that you are playing along and if you have any insights that we may not have dove in to in any of the races, then please feel free to reach out to us on Twitter (PetesPicks1) or email (PetesPicksBlog@gmail.com). Would love to hear some of the angles you may be taking and why.. GOOD LUCK.

Little Pete's $4.00 Early Double:

R1: 1, 3, 6, 7, 11

R2: 3

Cost: $20.00

Petes' $0.50 Late Pick 4:

R10: 4, 6, 7, 8

R11: 10, 14

R12: 1, 2, 5, 9

R13: 3, 4, 5, 7, 9

Cost: $80.00

Little Pete's $2.00 Early Double:

Race 1:

I like Paco in the first leg to use this horse with some speed to stalk the lead and close fast on the (6) Put It On Detti. (1) Bolt is going to look to get to the early lead and try and wire this field, and he may have enough to do it. (3) Pricey Victory has hit the gate the last two times out and if he breaks well this one then he has a good chance to close on this field. (7) Primo Posto has ran well against winners and this class relief should be enough to win this one. (11) Venerate is getting some class relief and is getting Gaffalione aboard; which makes this horses a play for me.

$3.00 WPS 6 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 6,7 w/ 1,3,6,7,11 Cost: $16.00

Race 2:

(3) Witch Hunter is going to get the single here for me with the major class relief, the second time out should show improvement from the extended layoff, and the red hot rider Gaffalione.

$3.00 Ex 3 w/ 1,5,6,8,9 Cost: $15.00

Petes' $0.50 Late Pick 4:

Race 10:

Big Pete:

Casse may have been too aggressive sending (6) CHART up against G2 fillies. Finds an easier spot to justify her impressive debut. Her dad liked the Gulfstream oval so I’m sure she will. I prefer (4) GOGO SHOES over (5) WANDERLUST even though she got beat by her Feb 8. (8) BACHELOR’S BAIT can easily hit the board to offer some value.

$3.00 Ex 4,6 w/ 4,5,6,8 Cost: $18.00

Little Pete:

The first leg of this one is an eight horse field where I think we should spread ourselves a bit. My top selection is going to be Saez aboard the (7) LastChanceForLove who should have the lead from the break and challenge the other contenders to try and pass. (1) Boerne is coming off a wire to wire win in her last time out and I think this horse is ascending in the right direction. (3) Good Credence is getting some class relief here and should be able to handle this field if he can handle the track after the six month layoff. (4) Gogo Shoes has Paco and could be hoping for a fast early pace to pass the tiring horses, so will be a play. (8) Bachelor's Bait has a hungry jockey with Dylan Davis aboard, who has been running well since going south to race. I think this horse has enough left in the tank down the stretch to make it interesting. I am excluding (6) Chart in this one, because I can't invite everyone to the party.

$1.00 Ex 3,4,7 w/ 1,3,4,7,8 Cost: $12.00

Race 11:

Big Pete:

(14) SOUPER SCAT DADDY sneaks in from the AE’s and attracts the hot Gaff. Has yet to run a bad one in seven tries and drops slightly for the W here. (10) BATTLE OF BLENHEIM also finds an easier group than last and the other hot jock, Saez lands here. I’ll key both of them and look for longshots to sneak in underneath. Both (8) CONVICTION TRADE and (12) HIEROGLYPHICS fit that profile.

$3.00 Ex 10,14 w/ 8,10,12,14 Cost: $18.00

Little Pete:

I am looking for a closer in this one to beat the 9/5 morning line favorite, (10) Battle of Blenheim, and I landed on (14) Souper Scat Daddy. I think that (10) Battle of Blenheim will have an early battle with (1) Sublime Appeal which will make this horse vulnerable to be beaten down the stretch, and (14) Souper Scat Daddy is going to eat that up. I think that we should also include (4) Supreme Aura who I think will transition well to the grass and be another contender to pass tiring horses down the stretch. I am going to leave it at these three horses.

$2.00 Ex Box 4,10,14 Cost: $12.00

$3.00 WPS 14 Cost: $9.00

Race 12:

Big Pete:

Kimmel looks all business with Saez taking the mount of (9) PACIFIC GALE off the bench. She’s faced better last year and has run ok on this oval. (2) JP’S DELIGHT will offer a stiff challenge as she likes to finish first a lot. Her Mar 7th score would do the trick here. I like the cut back to 6F for (1) PRINCESS CAUSEWAY. The pace should be hot so if the top two don’t bring their A game, the Princess will run them down.

$5.00 WPS 1 Cost: $15.00

$3.00 Ex 1,9 w/ 1,2,9 Cost: $12.00

Little Pete:

I fell in love with a price horse here in (5) Violent Times who I am anticipating will perform well with this race being run on dirt. I think that the fractions will be slower; which sets this horse up perfectly to gallop to victory down the stretch. I kind of am infatuated with this horse, so trying to find other plays in here is foggy to me. I will leave that up to Big Pete to find the other plays in this race.

$5.00 WPS 5 Cost: $15.00

Race 13:

Big Pete:

Weaver is firing down there and has this Get Stormy gelding (4) FLYOFF ready to fire.3rd time off the long layoff should be the charm. Longshot (5) CASH CALL KITTEN has shown signs of life in last two. Vasquez won twice with him back in the summer. (3) KING OF SPADES and (7) BONDURANT have similar running styles to stalk and come late to spoil the party. I’ll use them at a price.

$5.00 WPS 4 Cost: $15.00

$3.00 Ex 4,5 w/ 3,4,5,7 Cost: $18.00

Little Pete:

Saez is choosing (9) Twenty Four Seven over (4) Flyoff and I think that tells me he thinks this horse is ready to roll. I still will include (4) Flyoff in this one, but prefer (9) Twenty Four Seven over him. I think an interesting play here is the inside post with (1) The Queens Jules who has run in to some very fast mile races and I think if he can get some pace relief in this one he will be a tough horse down the stretch. (3) King of Spades will be my last play here as Kelly Breen is a good trainer and Dylan Davis is hungry (as stated above); which I think could equate to a W.
