We are coming off a nice little hit yesterday at Gulfstream; which obviously means we are getting greedy with our plays today. We are each going to handicap our own separate PK3 plays, and obviously see who takes in the most money in winnings. We are looking forward to the Florida Derby tomorrow and today is a nice day to build that bankroll up. GOOD LUCK.

Race 4:

The fav (4) FIRST WAVE is coming off the shelf after a dull effort in Oct. I’m guessing she’ll be a little “Rusty” as the works are just ordinary. The other fav (9) NOBLE ALMA recently returned off a year absence to run 2nd, but in a slow time. I’ll try to beat both with the firster (5) FUDDLED. She has turf top & bottom and attracts Rosario. Two swift breezes in Feb and some maintenance drills in March should have this filly on the muscle for her debut.

Race 5:

We’ve reached the bottom of the barrel with this CLM 6250 NW2L group. They’re all here for a reason, they just can’t win. I will spread here but offer one as a possible WPS play. (2) SABINA PARK seems the most consistent of the bunch. She sits back in mid-pack and makes a run but ultimately comes up short. She tried dirt for the first time and didn’t embarrass herself like most in here. She only lost by 2 lengths to likely favorite (5) QUEEN KANTHAROS last time. Now she loses some weight and has some cheap speed in front to set up her rally.

Race 6:

The ML on both Brown runners seems too high. Both are meant for the turf and will try it for the first time. Saez moves to the (4) AZRAEL and will look to control this from the start. He and his partner, (5) GREYES CREEK have been working together in the AM posting the same times. They both look ready to get back to work after some time off. I’ll include (1) FELIX THE FOX and (9) FLAME ZAPPER to try and mount a late charge to run down the tag team.

Race 7:

(7) Candy Crushem has been more consistent on dirt and has run in to some issues right out of the starting gate and getting bumped. I am relying on Saez to get this horse away from any issues at the start and have him closing strong down the stretch. For a little bit of safety I will include (1) Lapochka and (6) Chase Runner, who I believe both have an eye for the lead and will be battling throughout; which could be too much for the field.

Race 8:

This is going to be a very quick race with (3) Frenchman Street and (7) Captain Ron battling each other to win this one; which makes them a must play for me. (4) Camp Randall is improving in each race that he is entered, and this speed race could be another progression for him and must be a play.

Race 9:

This race is completely wide open and could mean we end the PK3 with a price horse. I am going to include the Pletcher horses; which is where the most likely winner will come from, but I am going to spread much more. (2) Edge of Fire, (3) Soros, (4) Ournationparade, and (12) Miles Ahead have all shown enough to me so far in their short career, and they all are contenders to me.
