We have some Memorial Day racing in Kentucky and we are keying in on two pick 3 plays. I will be focusing in on race 5-7, and Big Pete will be focusing on races 8-10. We will also have some of our vertical plays in each of these races to hedge our pick 3 ticket a bit. I have been fortunate these past two days with my picks and looking to close with another cashed ticket. I am trying not to get ahead of myself, but how can I not? Hope you are all playing along! GOOD LUCK.

Big Pete's Late $0.50 Pick 3:

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:

Race 5:

The forecast is saying to anticipate some rain in the area, so need to pay attention to that when we get closer to post time. I am anticipating (5) ColonelsDarkTemper to shoot out the gate and get to the early lead and push some of the fractions. I think this then opens the race up for some sustained runners and closers. (6) Street to Indy should be right behind the early pace along with (7) Shortlist, who will look to close on this field. They will be a tough beat in this one, but I think that we should include (1) Conquest Lemonraid and (3) Kurilov to be coming in late with a charge and could get up late to take this one.

$1.00 Ex Box 1,3,6,7 Cost: $12.00

Race 6:

We are assuming that the race remains on turf, but can confirm I cannot see in to the future (That far). I narrowed this race down to a two horse competition between (1) ColdWater and (4) Evil Lyn. My top selection being the inside horse, (1) ColdWater, who has a nice bullet workout coming in and getting a class drop in to this claiming race; which I think will be plenty to take down this field. This horse is going to be tough to catch. Just in case the race blows up a bit I will include (4) Evil Lyn who is getting what seems to be her preferred surface on grass and could have a nice sustained run to close on this field decisively.

$2.00 Ex 1,4 w/ 1,3,4,7,10 Cost: $16.00

Race 7:

This is going to be an exiting race that could go in multiple directions in my opinion; which is why I am going to go six deep in this one. (2) Union Maiden will improve second time out on dirt from the Chad Brown barn and should be a handful. (3) Magic Motion has been kept on the sidelines for over 9 months and going to anticipate an improved performance for this one first time out from the layoff. (4) Market Rumor has had the best beyer speed race to date and finished a solid second in that one. If this horse runs a similar race, then it could be a maiden breaker in this one. (7) Kinda Lucky and (8) Stripping are stablemates and both look poised to win first time out from the red hot Brad Cox barn. Both horses have great pedigrees, great workouts together, and world class jockeys aboard. (9) Raison D'etre is also a dangerous firster in this one. Bullet workout coming in and terrific pedigree on this horse.

$5.00 WPS 7 Cost: $15.00

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 8:

Compact but, competitive field of 3 year olds to kick off this late Pk3. Kenneally has a pair in here and both graduated on this track first time out. I like (1) BY YOUR SIDE of the two. He’s been facing better while going longer and now cuts back to a manageable 6F after showing some early zip in the AM. (3) ECHO TOWN seems faster than these on paper but, meets a salty group today. Santana can go early or sit and wait. It may be all about the break today. (8) MERU gets his 2020 campaign going after getting dusted by Independence Hall. Jose gets the call so they may be all business today.

$7.00 WPS 1 Cost: $21.00

$3.00 Ex Box 1,3,8 Cost: $18.00

Race 9:

They will need to catch Gaff and (12) RAMSEY SOLUTION today. He moves back to his preferred surface and will try to duplicate his maiden score in Nov. I like the price on (5) LIMONITE. He too moves back to turf and looks like the time off has not affected him. He looks very dangerous to me at his 10:1 ML but I don’t think we’ll get that high. The other that I’ll key on is (9) AWARD WINNER. His best race came on this grass course with Leparoux up. Exits a key race and is my top choice. Nothing clever to say about (7) MOROCCO but, all you need to know is that its Maker and Ortiz on the grass.

$7.00 WPS 9 Cost: $21.00

$3.00 Ex 9,12 w/ 5,7,9,12 Cost: $12.00

Race 10:

With Belmont opening up next week, it’s interesting that Noda ships here now to race (4) IMPUNITY instead of waiting. His last two would make this guy tough to beat. My guess is he’s kicking down the barn and needs to run. Both wins for (8) AGGRESSIVITY came when Santana was up. They re-unite here and look Dialed In. (2) BUMP BAILEY may have inherited the lead with some of the scratches. If Paco slows it down, the top two will have to do some running late to catch him.

$7.00 WPS 4 Cost: $21.00

$3.00 Ex 4,8 w/ 2,4,8 Cost: $12.00
