Belmont R8:

(4) FIYA is fast and should get the jump on these sprinters but the barn is ice cold. His class may help overcome that as he drops a level or two today. I’ll take the Clement runner second time out in the US. (3) REUX gave a salty group a scare last time and just got caught late. Franco will likely stalk the speed today and get first jump on the closers. (5) BATTLE STATION didn’t fire last time so Atras calls on Johnny V to right the ship. Sometimes these animals take the afternoon off. I’ll draw a line through that one and I’m expecting a big run today. Irad returns on (1) MAXWELL ESQUIRE after throwing in a dud last time as well. This guy can handle a turf course with some give in it.

Belmont R9:

(2) PUBLIC SECTOR got the confidence builder last time as he won against a decent field last time. Now faces some tough 3yr olds. I’ll use defensively but look elsewhere. One of these days (5) ORIGINAL is going to forget to stop. Saez will try to get a breather down the back stretch and if he can, this guy can take them all the way. (4) ANNEX has been consistent on the grass and Jr has all three of his wins. They need help up front to set up his late kick. Rosario jumps off the Clement runner to ride (8) IT’S A GAMBLE. He was gaining on Hard Love two back and won a public workout last time They look to be sitting on a big run and the wide turns here will help this English Channel gain momentum coming into the stretch.

Belmont R10:

(1) FIRENZEFIRE will be odds on and a must use, but I don’t like the post and the distance for this heavy favorite. He has speed just outside him and I’m guessing one of them goes and makes him get dirt in his face. (2) MIND CONTROL likes this 7F distance and usually shows up every race. Johnny V returns and they should get a nice set up to come late. (5) WICKED TRICK couldn’t catch Fire last time as he was up against a speed favoring track that day. The moisture in the track moves this guy up as well

BEST BET - RACE 2:

Unless a firster guns to the lead, (2) WIN WORTHY figures to have the lead all to himself. Seaz just need to give him a breather and spurt clear coming into the stretch. The two outside runners show no speed and will try to gain on him late.

(6) Hombre and (7) Tariff War will close into the exacta.
