We have a great day of racing ahead of us at Belmont with 9 races scheduled. We made it through the first weekend of June and we are quickly approaching the Saratoga season. We will be attacking all the races on the card today. I will be attacking the early double as well as a spot pick 3 (Races 4-6), while Big Pete will have a his "Plays of the Day" and look to take down the late pick 3 (Races 7-9). Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 3:
These are low level claimers at the end of there careers trying there best to come up with one more decent run. Three Two Zone takes a major drop which has to raise the red flag. We’re supposed to bet against these but there are not many options. I want to give (2) MOTION TO STRIKE a chance to wire them. Rosario takes the mount and he will gun this gelding to the front and try to hold. The others have question marks as to whether they can run anymore.
We’ll use both (5) Pintrack and (4) Two Three Zone underneath for 2nd.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 7:
We have a tough bunch to start off this late Pick3. (2) BORN A GAMBLER picks up Irad as the Maker barn continues to have a meet. He seems to be rounding into form after sitting out the winter. (1) WINNING CONNECTION is a price who tries turf for the first time. He likes to hit the board and Dylan stays here instead of the Gambler. I’ll lean a little on (5) MORE THAN WORK. All three of his turf tries have been solid used his last 7F sprint as a public workout for this. Franco stays here and has speed up front to target. (6) PARQUETRY ran well at the end after a slow stasrt against similar. He’ll be a threat late.

Race 8:
(3) TURN OF EVENTS was claimed last time out and Martin brings in the hot jock. He has kept good company in his races and probably needed his last off the layoff. He has smart works for this. (10) HIGH TIDE is working well for his 2023 debut. He was sharp last year and cuts back to a manageable 7F dash. I will go with (7) SOULMATE in this spot. He returned last time off a vacation to run an even race but still managed to pick up a check. They switch to Carmouche which has a live horse feel to it. His best race was at this distance and has high speed figures that match up well with this group.

Race 9:
The presents of Irad on (7) RED D G P will bring a lot of attention to this gelding. Both tries at this level where good enough and is the horse to beat. We’ll include but try to beat him with (2) TWO CHUCKLES. He gets L1 and cuts back slightly. He took a lot of money last time and was an ok 2nd. Now Trevor takes over and is worth his 10:1 ML. (9) BIG BOULDER also gets L1 and his debut on the grass was sharp. They move him to the dirt and Davis chooses this one. A major player as I see it as he took a lot of money in his debut. Rudy is sharp right now so we’ll include (4) MODERN MIDAS as a savor.
