We have a nice 9 race card today at Belmont and we will be looking to cover each one of them. I will be looking to attack the early double and a spot pick 3, while Big Pete will have his "Play of the Day" and close the card with the late pick 3. Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 3:
Brown has three entered and one of them is the likely winner. Marketsegmentation has the breeding to be a good one and Consumer Spending is the class. Both will be tough but I want to take a shot with the Tapit filly (6) VERONICA GREENE. She’s a neck shy of 3 for 3 on firm turf and was a solid 3rd in the Winter Memories vs a strong group of 3yr olds. Rosario needs to put his big boy pants on and start riding like he can. The switch to Belmont should wake him up.
We’ll use both (3) Marketsegmentaion and (8) Surprisiingly underneath for 2nd.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 7:
There’s not a lot of value to kick off this late pick 3 as the contenders are listed at 5:1 or lower. I’m going to try and steal this one with (4) ALPINE QUEEN on the front end. She gets in light and drops slightly and is possible lone speed. She remains in good form and the field lacks speed. If she gets company, the race sets up for a stalker and a closer. (5) I’M BUZZY has been facing slightly better and has a closing kick. He rarely wins by much so Cancel will have to time it perfect. (6) ROYAL MEGHAN gets Irad and probably needed her last. Two decent bullets since that return should have her ready to go today. She’s the mare to beat.

Race 8:
Brown has two in here and both are solid to break their maiden. Likely favorite, (4) FINANCIAL ADVICE has the breeding to like this 9F distance and a good 2nd under her belt. A possible single if you want to shorten the wager. Her main danger is stable mate (6) PREREQUISITE. She’s a must use at the current 5:1 ML. Picks up Prat for this and should improve off her bumpy maiden run. I’ll take a shot with the Derby winner up on (7) HIGHLAND GRACE. She has made steady progress this winter and Tagg drilled her the last two morning session. This Pharoah looks primed for a big effort. (2) LA MAZEL is a price that will get over looked. She too is improving and can juice up the exotics or surprise them all.

Race 9:
Either (8) BUBBLE ROCK or (10) STAR DEVINE ”should” close the show. They are the class of this field. Bubble likes to set up shop on the lead and Rosario does that well. Star will sit chilly and make a run late. I landed on (3) MESSIDOR to get them both late. She cuts back to this 6F sprint which is what she wants to do. She’s run well on this Belmont grass and Javier sticks around. The wise guy pick is (4) MINAUN with Johnny V up. She’s not likely to win but usually fires well enough to hit the board
