Belmont Stakes day and we are ready to cash some tickets on this stacked card. We are going to remain consistent and attack the pick 6 sequence split into a pair of pick 3 plays. I will be focused on races 7-9 and Big Pete will be locked into races 10-12. We also will have our "Play of the Day" on a race that we would like to try and maximize our winnings. GOOD LUCK.

Race 11:
Bad start cost (7) Rock Your World in the Kentucky Derby (Plus, a cheating trainer). This smaller field should set this horse up well to find a nice path around this oval and have the most left late down the stretch. I think this horse will be able to fan out wide come stretch drive and have a strong push to win this one. Rosario will get this one done..

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 2:
Brown usually saves a good one to debut on the big days. Today it looks like
(1) SOFT POWER will be that runner. This guy looks meant for the turf and may have his stable mate up front to target. If he drops below his 7:2 ML, the word is out and he will be dangerous. Both of the Nyquist colts, (7) King James and (8) Ranger Fox look like the main dangers so we’ll use them underneath

Race 5:
Both Dad (Frosted) and Grandpa (Victory Gallop) have fond memories of winning on Big Sandy so today’s (1) TRAVEL COLUMN’s turn. The cut back to 1M will help her stretch run against the heavy Brown favorite. Look for Geroux to be aggressive around the turn and try to hold off the closers.

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:
Race 7:
(3) Letruska looks very good on paper here and is coming in with great form. I would be foolish to try and beat, so will be including. The only other two horses in here I like after the scratches are the Brad Cox horses. (5) SheDaresTheDevil is also in great form and will be challenging for the lead throughout in this one and looks strong to wire the field if left alone. (7) Bonny South is a horse to the outside I like to run down tiring horses late. This horse is coming into this one with a good win and should be able to find a nice path to run at the front runners late.

Race 8:
This is going to be a toughly fought race in here and I am going to go four deep. (1) Zofelle has a great post position in here and Gaffalione is great on grass. This horse should be forwardly placed on the rail to ensure she does not get bottled up by the field. I think Tyler will be able to time this one well and compete for the wire. (6) Pocket Square won her U.S. debut and looks to be ascending at the moment. Irad choosing this horse again is a great sign and should be a very dangerous horse. (7) Abscond is going to be closing strongly and these mile turf races are all about the right trip. I will trust Rosario to work out a well timed late trip to compete in here. Last play will be (10) Tamahere who is another Chad Brown horse that is improving each time out. This horse is going to be running her best late and that is the tactic I want my horses to have.

Race 9:
I really like (3) Silver State in this mile dirt race. I think that (1) Mischevious Alex and (6) Knicks Go engage in an early speed battle and that sets up (3) Silver State to run them down in a thriller. I will be including the other two in here in case they run away from the field with their proven speed. I am hoping we get a nice price on (3) Silver State come post time because I will be doubling my play anything above 4/1.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 11:
The advantage may be with (7) ROCK YOUR WORLD as he figures to get to the front in this short field. That’s where he does the most damage and Rosario handles the front end better than most. (2) ESSENTIAL QUALITY skipped the Preakness for this and looks poised to dominate the 3yr old colts again. He was wide the whole way in the Derby but Big Sandy will be kind to him with these big turns. Saez is riding the best right now.
(4) HOT ROD CHARLIE always seems to run his race. Expecting no different today. He’ll likely sit behind the Rock and tip out coming off the turn.

Race 12:
We’ve been waiting for a Flintshire to emerge and it looks like she’s here. You couldn’t win more impressively than how (2) RUNAWAY RUMOUR did in her debut. Perfect ride in all but this filly went by all of them as if they were standing still. Similar to what dad did for most of his career. With the likely speed up front, we’re expecting the same results at this 1M distance. (11) MY LIPS ARE SEALED will need to clear them all early from out there. She does her best running on the front end and faces fellow NY Breds again. (6) KINKY SOCKS is interesting at a price as all three turf races have come on this Belmont oval and she has improved in every start. The 1M may be too short for (5) ENGLISH BREEZE but she always seems to be coming at the end. She’ll get first jump on Rumour.

Race 13:
The entry looks strong and I prefer (1) PRICE TALK over the Brown runner. He gets regular rider back after a decent return off the layoff last time. (3) MICROSECOND will be the one they need to catch. He almost stole it last time and I’m guessing they will try it again. (6) TEMPLE has been facing better recently and worth his 6:1 ML to take a stab. He sports a nice bullet last month to set him up here. The wise guy pick is the other Maker runner (5) JOURNEYMAN. He is coming off a layoff but his turf win two back will be enough if he can Re-pete that effort.
