Happy Belmont Stakes Day! We have an awesome card at Belmont today and we decided to focus in the big boy and girl races. We are going to attack a spot pick 4 for races 7-10 in a joint effort between myself and Big Pete. We will also have vertical action in each of those races to sweeten the day. We hope you are playing along and we can all cash some tickets! GOOD LUCK.

(4) StrongerThanUKnow is nothing but consistent and going to be my top selection in this one. I like Big Pete's selections of the the other four horses, and really believe that this race is wide open. I just think that we should also consider the (14) Ancient Brown in this one second time out on grass and training very well to get to the early lead and be trouble late.

We’ll spread out here as many look live in this 6F sprint for Fillies & Mare’s. (12) SPEIGHTSTOWN GAL will like the cutback and Irad returns. Weaver is off to a nice start hitting 1st or 2nd 50% this meet. The far turn comes quick so Irad will need to save some ground. (8) MY SASSAY SARAH tried Gr2 company and the dirt. Both didn’t work out that well. Now this Summer Front gets back to doing what she likes, sprinting on grass. She ran her best with Franco up here last fall and will look to Re-Pete that effort. (3) SINGLE VERSE moves back to the turf and proved she can handle it last summer. She likes coming in 2nd so it’s hard to put her in the one slot but she drops slightly which usually works in your favor. (10) LIGHT IN THE SKY re-unites with Jose. They both beat Sarah at the Spa to start her career. I’m going to take a shot that lightning will strike twice as her June 12th Bullet jumps off the page.

Little Pete:
Give me (1) Gamine and (2) Lucrezia to shoot for the early lead to set up a great close by (4) Casual who looks to be yearning for this small stretch out. I think that (1) Gamine will have enough to sustain a great run in this one, but I really like (4) Casual to pull off the minor upset.

Two turns may be too much for (1) GAMINE, but this 1M one turn should fit like a glove. Baffert turns to Johnny V which may be the difference here. (7) PERFECT ALIBI will be the late threat. My only concern is the lack of quality speed to go with the rail favorite. If (4) CASUAL forces the issue, Alibi will make it interesting late

Little Pete:
Give me Irad on (4) Pure Sensation on grass to get this one done. The stretch out to 6 furlongs is exactly what this horse should need to win. (2) Oleksandra will also be a tough contender in this one with the stretch out and must be a play for us; Rosario is just a different rider on grass. I also think that (5) Stubbins is going to have a great showing in this one. A fast pace early will make this horse a monster down the stretch, and with the more than capable Saez aboard you can assume this horse will be in prime position to close. I also like (7) White Flag to have a nice closing kick late, but do not think he will have enough in this sprint to catch the others stated; just will include on vertical play.

(5) STUBBINS ran too good to lose his 2020 debut and now ships across the country for a shot at a G1. O’Neill smartly grabs Saez for this and figures to be a handful today. I would not question anyone who is looking for a single with this guy. All eyes will be on (6) HIDDEN SCROLL who tries sprinting on the grass. Most think that’s what he wants to do so if it’s true, look out. (4) PURE SENSATION is very long in the tooth, but what a professional he’s been. It’s worth noting that (2) OLEKSANDRA is 2 for 2 on this Belmont lawn with Rosario up.

Race 10 Belmont Stakes:
Little Pete:
Not overthinking this one with the heavy favorite of (8) Tiz The Law. With the Belmont Stakes being cut back to a mile and an 1/8th that will allow (8) Tiz The Law to get to the early lead and not look back. I see that Big Pete has an interest in (1) Tap it to Win and (9) Dr Post, so I will leave it to him on the others in case (8) Tiz The Law does not have his best today; which I am confident he will.

Big Pete:
(1) TAP IT TO WIN has grown up quickly in 2020. Two very sharp races have him poised to take these all the way. Acid test for sure but, I think he’s up to it. (8) TIZ THE LAW is the gorilla in the room and is the deserving favorite to take this Belmont down. His best races are enough to handle these. And then there’s Pletcher. He quietly shows up here with (9) DR POST who just keeps getting better. I would not consider if this was at the usual 12F, but because we’re only going 9F today, he fits perfectly. Irad will let the others go, then pull the trigger coming into the stretch.
