We are changing things up and going to have some multi-course action today. I couldn't resist the stacked card at Keeneland, so I am going to attempt to take down the pick 5 for races 5-9. Big Pete is going to stick with our NY pride and take down the late pick 3 today at Belmont. Different tracks, but same goal; lets cash these tickets. Make sure to subscribe to our newsletter to receive notification of any new blog posts and receive weekly blogs sent directly to your email! GOOD LUCK.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Little Pete's Keeneland Pick 5:

Race 5:

The first leg of this one is the grade 1 Madison at the 7 furlongs distance. I do not see anyone else in this field being able to handle (5) Guarana. This distance is just too much of an ask for any other in this field, in my opinion. This horse has consistently trained well since the 6/4/20 dominating win at this distance; having a fast track should only improve. I think (9) Amy's Challenge will try to shoot to the early lead, but being on the outside of (5) Guarana will be a tough ask to exert that much early energy to do so. (7) Mia Mischief has the speed to keep up in a stalking position, but I do not think enough to pass (5) Guarana. I will include (2) Wildwood's Beauty in the exacta, as this horse likes hitting the board at this distance.

$5.00 Ex 5 w/ 2,7,9 Cost: $15.00

Race 6:

Now we are on to the grade 2 Shakertown sprint at 5 1/2 furlongs on turf. I want speed and then more speed, and I think this field has plenty of that. (2) Wildman Jack has Mike Smith coming to town and has plenty of speed to take this field down; so will include. I just think that this race has too many options to not spread out pretty deep here. (1) Extravagant Kid has a great post position in this one and I think Rosario will be able to break to a stalking position and have a stretch drive worthy of a win. Give me the hot horse in (7) Fast Boat who is coming off a sprint win just a month ago. I am not in love with (8) Bound for Nowhere, but is extremely tough to leave a Wesley Ward sprinter off my ticket. If Saez were riding (11) Tiger Blood then I would include, because he has a knack of knowing where to place a speed horse on grass; but since he unfortunately tested positive for COVID-19 he will not be riding and the horse will not get a play for me. (13) Leinster from the outside post with Gaffalione aboard should be able to have a nice lane to close in to if this horse has enough left in the tank.

$3.00 WPS 1 Cost: $9.00

$1.00 Ex 1,2,8 w/ 1,2,7,8,13 Cost: $12.00

Race 7:

Yet again, another stakes race on this car with the grade 1 Central Bank Ashland at a mile 1/16th on dirt. I apologize to (1) Atla's Award as this horse will be the only horse I leave off the ticket in this one. (2) Venetian Harbor is going to be a very tough beat here, but I think that this race is going to be a very competitive one. My top selection to beat (2) Venetian Harbor is (3) Bonny South who I think is putting it all together at the right time and Johnny V is going to be hungry for a win.

$4.00 WPS 3 Cost: $12.00

$1.00 Ex Box 2,3,4,6 Cost: $12.00

Race 8:

Now we have the grad 1 Coolmore Jenny Wiley; which is run at a mile and 1/16th on turf. This race comes down to the top choices for me with the (4) Rushing Fall and (6) Jolie Olimpica. I do not want to over think this leg too much and trust one of these two to get it done. I prefer (4) Rushing Fall to get it done, but not going to get cute and single. Will throw (5) Mucho Unusual underneath as this horse has shown a late kick to hit the board. I will also include (1) Secret Message to have a similar late kick as (5) mucho Unusual to come and hit the board.

$2.00 Ex 4,6 w/ 1,4,5,6 Cost: $12.00

Race 9:

We close our ticket on the grade 2 Toyota Bluegrass at a mile 1/8th on dirt. I don't like, I love (7) Swiss Skydiver to get this one done. This horse has been red hot and attracts Mike Smith for another mount. I really feel confident with (7) Swiss Skydriver to get this done, but do not want to single on the last leg of the ticket. I will also include (10) Rushie in this one who should run in to a little bit of a slower early pace and will have a late kick that could be enough to get to the wire first. I will include (3) Art Collecter, (4) Mr. Big News, and (8) Basin to hit the board for possibly second and complete the exacta.

$4.00 WPS 7 Cost: $12.00

$2.00 Ex 7,10 w/ 3,4,7,8,10 Cost: $16.00

Big Pete's Belmont Late Pick 3:

Race 8:

(7) HEAVY ROLLER will be a heavy hitter on his return to Big Sandy. Almost got there last race against slightly better. His best race came here back in Oct and ran a bullet last week for this. M & M’s will also help (Moisture and Manny) (1A) LEITONE and (5) HAN SENSE have speed so if they get away easy, one or both can stick around late. In a little interested in a price to come late. (8) AMERICAN LINCOLN has some races a year ago that puts him right there verses these. His last two show signs that he may be rounding back in form. I’m hoping that there is some moisture left over as this Street Sense likes it.

$3.00 Ex 7,8 w/ 1,5,7,8 Cost: $18.00

Race 9:

I’ll include (3) QIAN B C as he did well off the layoff to climb back into the race after showing no speed early. He usually stalks so he should be a threat late. I’m interested in a price here. (9) TURBO DRIVE exits the same race as Qian and he clearly needed a race as well. He made up ground but, was not a threat. He beat Power of Payne, who won that race, last fall so I’m banking on Maker and Reylu to get back to those fall races. (8) IMPAZIBLE ODDS put in a nice run against NW3L open Co. last time and now gets in light. The 7F may be the answer. (6) THE SINNER IS YOU ships in to face fellow NY Breds again. He won here a year ago on this turf and distance. Davis gets the mount.

$7.00 WPS 9 Cost: $21.00

$3.00 Ex 3,9 w/ 3,6,8,9 Cost: $18.00

Race 10:

I think (9) BANK GALA may have finally found the right field. His two races back in Jan and Feb would beat these by open lengths. Davis gets the re-ride on the drop. Carmouche will put (10) AFTER PROM PARTY on the lead and try to hold on. His Spa run might be enough to beat these MCL25K runners. Rice saw something in (11) WARDENOFTHENORTH to claim him last time. Just basically ran around the track not losing or gaining ground. Now puts stable rider up after a couple of breezes. No one else jumps off the page as these runners may spend their careers in maiden races. So we’ll include a first timer (1) J P’S SONG He won’t need to be special to take down this group.

$7.00 WPS 2 Cost:$21.00

$3.00 Ex 9,11 w/ 1,9,10,11 Cost: $18.00
