The first Saturday of the Belmont fall meet at the Big A and we have a nice 11 race card today and plenty of opportunities to cash in some tickets. We are going to look to cover as many as we can in here and will be locked in to taking down some horizontal plays. I will be focused on taking down an "early" double (Races 1 & 2) and a Spot pick 3 (Races 6-8). Big Pete will have two of his "Plays of the Day" and close the card with the late pick 3 (Races 9-11). We appreciate you taking a look at our write-up and GOOD LUCK.

Little Pete's $2.00 Early Double:

R1: 1, 5, 6

R2: 2, 5, 6
Cost: $18.00

Little Pete's $ 1.00 Spot Pick 3:

R6: 3, 7, 8

R7: 1, 4

R8: 4, 7, 8, 9

Cost: $24.00

Big Pete's $ 7.00 Late Pick 3:

R9: 7

R10: 3

R11: 2, 4, 8, 9

Cost: $ 28.00

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 3 :

(1) INDEMNIFY seems logical as he has speed and the rail to control this. He couldn’t get past a filly early last time and had to settle off the lead. Today should be different and Prat should be aggressive going into the first turn. We’ll use him on top and try to cash in on the exacta with first time starter (2) Bobbie D who goes out as the “other” Chad runner. The late threat should come from (9) Aruba.

$ 10.00 Ex 1 w/ 2, 9 Cost $ 20.00

We’ll also use (1) Indemnify in R3 and try to cash a DAILY DOUBLE play.

We’ll use (5) Lil Commissioner and (7) Magnetron in the 4th.

$ 10.00 Double 1 w/ 5, 7 Cost $ 20.00

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 5 :

(4) LUCKY BRODY dropped to this level last time but looked a little rusty off the break. Noda finally got one yesterday and they are streaky. He puts the resurging Castellano up and the 4:1 ML is more than fair.

$ 7.00 WPS 4 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Exacta Box 3, 4, 8 Cost $ 18.00

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 9:

It’s setting up as a chalky late Pick 3. (7) EXPRESSMAN dominated first time out and was easing up at the end. He gets a stalking outside post to avoid traffic and most likely waits for Javier’s signal. I won’t try to beat him and use as a single. The only other interesting colt in here is the Uncle Mo from Brown. (5) NABOKOV look awful trying two turns and they make the right call to cutback to a one turn. He might get overlooked off his last two races but Irad sticks and this guy has some talent.

$ 20.00 Ex 7 w/ 5 Cost $ 20.00

Race 10:

Another short favorite in a short field. (3) NATIONS PRIDE turned the table on the rail runner and gets to go longer which works in his favor. Frankie, as always, got a little cocky with his ride two back and came up short then. All business today as the margin should increase from the last race. Another single for me as this IRE bred looks much better than this group. The other IRE bred, (4) THE GREY WIZARD along with the GB bred (6) ARDAKAN should have a good battle for the runner up spot.

$ 15.00 Ex 3 w/ 4 Cost $ 15.00

$ 10.00 Ex 3 w/ 6 Cost $ 10.00

Race 11:

We close the card with yet another short priced favorite but this one isn’t worthy of a single IMO. We’ll use (8) ROYAL DANCER defensively as she does look the part. They bring in Jr to try and get this. I want to take a stab with (2) ALESTE for Bond. They tried the two turn route to start her career and ran evenly through the stretch. I like the cutback for her as she has positional speed and maybe there is a closing kick in there with the short distance. (9) ARD MACHA is a little interesting but Prat will need to save some ground from out there. If he finds the hedge at some point, they can be a threat late. (4) SHINFULL has two decent 2nd place finishes against some good turfers. Irad was aboard both of those runs. Should at least hit the board.

$ 7.00 WPS 2 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 2, 8 w/ 2, 4, 8, 9 Cost $ 18.00
