Nine races on this Friday edition of Belmont at the Big A. No feature with three on the turf. I will be condensing my plays down to just the numbers and attacking the early double starting in R2 (Races 1 & 2) and a spot pick 3 (Races 4-6). Big Pete will attack his "Play of the Day" and the late pick 3 (Races 7-9). We appreciate you taking a look at this write-up and GOOD LUCK.

Big Pete's $ 3.00 Late Pick 3:

R7: 2, 4, 6

R8: 1, 5, 6, 8

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 3:

(3) TORPEDO RUN ships in again after a decent effort at Parx. His speed figure tops this group today and both his wins have come on this track. Davis was aboard both of them as they look for the hat trick. There is plenty or enough speed signed on to set him up late for a fast finish.

I’ll use (1) My Man Matty/Ride Up and (6) Timaeus underneath for the exacta.

We’ll also use (3) Torpedo Run in R3 and try to cash in on a Daily Double.

(1) Ranger Battalion and (6) House United in the 4th.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 7:

(6) GET A JOB tried this level last time and was respectable. He got claimed that day and drilled a bullet after that, showing he is still sharp after that effort. (2) AGGREGATION was 2nd in that race and couldn't finish it. That was off an extended layoff and wheels right back for another try. A little more foundation should make the difference. (4) PALACE BOSS has improved as they stretched him out. His regular rider has yet to miss the board when up. More of the same today.

Race 8:

(6) OUTTAWATERBURY picks up Johnny V after a blanket finish last time. Johnny has a nose for the wire, so I'll give this gelding the edge, given that one turn is what he wants. (5) REAL SAVVY had some trouble through the lane last time and couldn't get back on track. Rosario takes the mount, and my guess is he'll be aggressive and try to wire them. (8) ROYAL BROWN woke up last time with Jr up. They meet again for another shot. (1) MO KREESA draws the rail and should save some valuable ground from there.

Race 9:

(11) ENLIGHTEN has to pass them all from way out there. Not an easy task, but it will make it interesting late. (7) JUST FOR LUCK usually comes running late, but the 2-for-20 record is hard to put on top, though it hits the board 60% of the time. (8) RIGHT TO WIN is a new animal with Franco up. They team up again and are a major player. I want the War Front gelding (1) WAR OFFICER in this spot. Davis takes over as Rice claimed this guy last time and cuts him back to where he belongs. Should save some ground and pass them late.
