We are looking to close opening weekend at Belmont on a winning note. We are going to continue to attack a pair of PK3 plays that cover the PK6 sequence. I will be focusing in on races 5-7, while Big Pete will be focusing in on races 8-10. We also will have our "Play of the Day" on a race we think we can maximize a play. R7: 4, 8 ,10, 12

Cost: $ 48.00

Big Pete's $1.00 Late Pick 3:

R8: 2, 4, 5, 7

R9: 2, 5, 9

R10: 2, 4, 8, 9

Cost: $ 48.00

Little Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 1:

I love attacking the first race to get the day started. I am going to try and beat the morning line favorite and tackle the exacta to improve our bankroll for card.. I like a pair in here to break their maidens at first asking. What's not to like about (3) Gambling Cat with Repole, Maker and Kitten's Joy in your corner? Then there's (2) Taqseemaat with Brown and Rosario. I'll put these two on top to start the day off.

$3.00 Ex 2,3 w/ 2,3,5,6 Cost: $18.00

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 2:

(4) HARRIS BAY looks very difficult in this spot. He faced better and will get the speed up front to close into. He’ll be a short price, but I like a long shot underneath for some value. (3) MICROSCOPE prefers sprinting and will be overlooked. His three Aqu sprints to start his career stand out for him on paper. Look for him to come late and pass the speeds to grab 2nd.

$ 20.00 Exacta 4 w/ 3 Cost $ 20.00

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:

Race 5:

This race is a loaded field with a bunch of horses that I think have a chance to break their maiden. I will go with four horses in here with (9) Running on Entry being my top selection. I think this horse is 0-4 in her short career mostly because of trips. With Carmouche up today, I'm banking on an aggressive break and hopefully find herself closer to the lead early. She may have found the right field today. (1) Lucky Latkes is another horse who I think will receive a better trip from the inside post. This horse should be able to save ground around both turns and have a chance to run everyone down in the stretch. (5) Two Cent Tottsie is tough to trust in here going 0-14 in the win column, but I you cant ignore the major drop so will include. (10) Little Red Button is going to be a bit of a price in here, but the tactic should be to shoot from the gate and find the lead. That is the place to be in these mile races on grass and this horse could get loose on the lead.

$3.00 WPS 9 Cost: $9.00

$1.00 Ex 1, 9, 10 w/ 1, 5, 9, 10 Cost: $9.00

Race 6:

(7) La Urbana is a firster in here that I trust from the Asmussen barn. He is also getting Rosario aboard on this one and will be a contender in here. (13) Violentiam draws in and will likely be your favorite with Johnnie V aboard. Closed well into a slow pace at the Spa and now gets more ground to work with. A major player today. My last play will be (10) Stay Home Mama who I think will enjoy being outside the commotion from the gate and be able to pick her lane for a convincing stretch drive. Stay Thirsty loved this surface so I'm hoping she likes it too.

$3.00 WPS 7 Cost: $9.00

$3.00 Ex 7, 13 w/ 7, 10, 13 Cost: $12.00

Race 7:

We will be closing the ticket on four horses. (8) Translate is my top selection in here with an even more improved effort second time out. (4) All American Dream is a firster from American Pharoah and has been training well leading in to this one. (10) Bastet didn't seem to like the Spa grass. She returns to Belmont where she posted her best figure which tops this field. This Cairo Prince is the main danger today. (12) Apurate who has shown more ability on grass and this field could have some fast early fractions to run in to. I think this horse will be charging late.

$3.00 WPS 8 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex 8, 12 w/ 4, 8, 10, 12 Cost: $12.00

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 8:

With a lot of speed signed on, I want stalker (7) WILD MEDAGLIAD’ORO to pick them up late. He cuts back to this 6F sprint and should get the perfect set-up. The wide turns at Belmont will help his outside journey here. (2) FRENCH REEF tries winners for the first time but looks like he can run. We’ll use incase he shakes loose from (4) FIYA, who attracts Saez and wants the lead too. Both are fast enough to take them the whole way. The interesting one is (5) CHILLY IN CHARGE. He comes off a 9 month vaca and has a nice closing kick if ready. Works say he is.

$ 7.00 WPS 7 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 5, 7 w/ 2, 4, 5, 7 Cost $ 18.00

Race 9:

It’s odd to see Lezcano on the Chad Brown runner (9) OLENDON as many jocks are not here today. Olendon and Jose are both capable of getting there so we’ll include. Franco opts for (5) TIPLE. They move up the ladder for this but looks like she can handle it. I landed on (2) MADELEINE MUST. Clement is winning races and Rosario is helping out. They team up here again as they cut her back to the 6F sprint. She stayed down state for the Spa meet after a bumpy run back in July. Expecting her A game today.

$ 7.00 WPS 2 Cost $ 21.00

$ 5.00 Ex 2, 5 w/ 2, 5, 9 Cost $ 20.00

Race 10:

I don’t see a lot of speed in here so the advantage goes to (2) HAPPY SOPHIA. Davis will likely go with her and try to control it. Her dad, Flat Out, dominated the Big Sandy surface so maybe she can HANDAL it also. Rudy sends out (4) WICKED TITLE who he just claimed and cuts him back. Rosario climbs up so this one may be live. The other Rudy (9) LA NEGRITA, improved last time to just miss or was it the muddy track? Has three 2nd’s in a row so a must use in the exacta. I prefer (8) SHE’S A BLACK BELT in this one. She drops slightly after running evenly in her last. That was coming off a 6 mo break and gets Franco this time. She’ll kick it in gear through the stretch.

$ 7.00 WPS 8 Cost $ 21.00

$ 3.00 Ex 2, 8 w/ 2, 4, 8, 9 Cost $ 18.00
