We are back with live racing at Belmont today and making sure we remain focused on dishing out winning tickets. We do not want to overlook the good cards we have through the ending weekend here, but cannot lie about how excited we are for Saratoga next week. We will continue with our pair of pick 3 plays for races 4-9 and have some vertical plays in each of those races as well. Make sure to subscribe with your email on the home page to receive notification of new posts and a weekly blog sent directly to your email. GOOD LUCK.

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:
Race 4:
(4) Love Me Tomorrow is going to shoot to the early lead in this one and try and wire the field. I think that she will be challenged by (5) Allure Fortune and should open this up to some closers. (7) Belleza is my top selection in this one with a class and distance drop in this one. I think that this horse possesses the most speed in this one and will be able to sit right behind the pace and have a winning stretch drive. I also think that we should include the daughter of Constitution, (6) Madam Deputy, who will be ready to win first time out from the Brad Cox barn. My last play is going to be an improved (2) Central Exit who I think has run well in previous starts but has been unlucky. I think with the extended break and a barn switch that this horse will be prepped and ready to roll.
$5.00 WPS 7 Cost: $15.00
$1.00 Ex 2,6,7 w/ 2,4,5,6,7 Cost: $12.00
Race 5:
I am going to try and beat the morning line favorite, (9) C C Rider, who I think is vulnerable here. My top selection is going to be on (6) Quiet Out East who is coming in with a win last time out at a mile and looks to be in top form for the small increase in distance. For a little more coverage I am going to include the Ortiz brothers who both have a pair of contenders in this one. (3) War Film was shipped up from Kentucky for one reason; to win. I think that the closing ability on this horse will be on full display and have a say as to who wins this one. (4) Channel Island attracted Irad aboard this time out and the extra distance will allow this horse to have a more explosive stretch drive against tiring horses.
$4.00 WPS 6 Cost: $12.00
$2.00 Ex Box 3,4,6 Cost: $12.00
Race 6:
I am going to end this ticket going four deep, and I am going to exclude firsters; props if any of them beat me. I do not have a "favorite" in this one, so I will just be listing them in numerical order. (3) Buyer's Remorse was shipped across country and has been consistently training well at Belmont leading in to this one. I think Carmouche has a good break from the gate in this one and places this horse right to the front, and I think that could be a winning move for this horse. (4) Orsay has the pedigree and connections in this one and the extended training this horse has received from Chad Brown makes this horse a strong play for me. (6) Back Channel possesses the speed needed to wire this field and I think the Lezcano will allow this horse to find the lead herself and keep on running. (10) Harlem Heights is running in to a beatable field first time out in 2020, and will be plenty of horse with the red hot Jose Ortiz aboard.
$1.00 Ex Box 3,4,6,10 Cost: $12.00
Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 7:
A nice bunch of 3year olds that will attempt to go long on the Belmont turf. I couldn’t get past the rail colt (1) OUR COUNTRY. He’s been dancing with the top 2yr olds last year leading up to the good finish in the Juvenile. A slow start this year but Weaver is clicking right now and I’m expecting a big run today. (5) NO WORD will draw a lot of attention as Pletcher and Jose team up to get this Silent Name into the winners circle. He’s been solid in both starts this year and actual cuts back to the 9F test. I’ll only use these two to start this late Pick 3.
$3.00 Ex 1,5 w/ 1,2,4,5 Cost: $18.00
Race 8:
I can’t see anyone in here that will beat (5) MRS DANVERS. She keeps improving and will only enjoy the added distances. Jose subs in and Shug too is off to a good summer. I’ll single here and spread out in the last leg. (2) GRAND CRU CLASSE ran a big number in her depot but, it’s now easy to face winners for the first time. I’ll use (6) MAIDEN BEAUTY to come late and offer some value underneath.
$10.00 Ex 5 w/ 2,6 Cost: $20.00
Race 9:
I’ll use many here to close out this late Pk3. (2) FLEET STEEPER ran solid in her debut. A clumsy start didn’t discourage her as she gathered and went about her business. If Manny can keep her close early, she will be the a handful today. (6) SIMPLY MISS RED finished in front of Fleet last time and a similar run today also puts her right there. I’ll key both of these on top. (4) COME STORMING takes the slight drop which should work to her advantage. I like the addition of Castellano, but Bush is ice cold. I’ll include two outsiders to help sweeten the pot. (11) WISHES AND DREAMS didn’t do any running until it was too late in the stretch. Maybe be drop and added distance will do the trick as she gets in light with the bug up. (5) TOASTNJAM gets Jose for the ride. That alone moves her up. Kimmel is having a decent meet to help matters.
