We are looking to close the weekend with a pair of cashed tickets to carry some momentum in to next week. We did hit the late pick 3 yesterday, but were mostly chalk. We will look to continue playing our pair of pick 3 plays, where I will be focusing on races 4-6 and Big Pete will be focusing in on races 7-9. We will also have some vertical action in each of those races. If you have any thoughts on any of the races we covered then please let us know on Twitter (@PetesPicks1) and we can discuss. GOOD LUCK.

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:

R4: 1, 6, 7, 8

R5: 2, 4, 6

R6: 10, 11, 12

Cost: $36.00

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

R7: 1, 3, 8, 12

R8: 1, 4, 6

R9: 1, 4, 9, 12

Cost: $48.00

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:

Race 4:

(6) Hurricane Hill won't get the time fractions he saw last time out and should have plenty left in the tank to take this one; a well deserving morning line favorite. I do not fully trust this horse in this claiming race, so looking to include three others. (8) Wild William from the outside switches back to Saez and with the lack of speed in this one I think that the connections will elect to send this horse right to the lead and try and steal this one. (1) Frosted Rose is an interesting play with the favorable post position. I think that Manny will be able to save some ground early in this race and have this horse as the strongest one down the stretch. (7) Deputy Flag has had an extended stay with the Brad Cox barn after the January claim and this being the first trip out since. The workouts leading in look good and the Irad bump will be a tough one to beat in this one. This horse will definitely be bet down to something closer to 2/1 or 8/5.

$3.00 WPS 8 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex Box 1,6,7,8 Cost: $24.00

Race 5:

As much as I want an upset in this one, I just could not find one that interested me just a bit. (2) Walkoff looks to be in great form coming in to this one and is my most likely winner, but I will include two others. I really like Johnnie V aboard the (4) California Night here. I am throwing out this horse's last time out with an off step start and thinking that this horse will be sent to the early lead and could have enough left in the tank to stay up there. (6) Lil Commissioner will be sent right to a stalking position from the outside gate and will have a say as to who wins this one' Rob Atras is due.

$3.00 WPS 6 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex Box 2,4,6 Cost: $12.00

Race 6:

We finally have a double digit field in this one and I landed on three from the outside. (11) Bielefeld is my top selection who has the speed and the move to Irad should be the winning one. This horse gives Irad some speed in a race that doesn't have much in it and in Irad we trust. (12) Cold Hard Cash is moving to grass fourth time out and to me it seems like a "throwing the kitchen sink" at this horse, but it could wake the horse up and has shown enough in previous races to be a player here. (10) CoragesContender is coming in hot here after a good ride last time out on grass and I am anticipating a better run second time out on grass; ride the hot horse!

$3.00 WPS 11 Cost: $9.00

$2.00 Ex Box 10,11,12 Cost: $12.00

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 7:

(1) PEACEFUL is the filly that I’ll key on. Broke her maiden at the Spa, then faced some fast fillies in her next two starts to close out the year. Steady works and Castellano up means they are all business for her 2020 debut. The last two turf runs for (8) WICKED AMBER indicates that she needs turf rather than dirt. Not a strong win candidate but, we’ll get a decent price on her to fill in the exacta. (12) O’MALLEY has speed and Manny. She’s been within a length or two from winning at least 5 more times then she has. Always seems to bring her A game. I’ll include. (3) CARIBA has speed and if we get the good Rosario today, she can take them all the way.

$7.00 WPS 1 Cost: $21.00

$3.00 Ex 1,12 w/ 1,3,8,12 Cost: $18.00

Race 8:

(4) RISKY MISCHIEF buried maidens at the Spa last summer before trying G1 Company. Englehart needs speed to set up his other runner (1) CRITICAL VALUE. Problem is, Risky will forget to stop. We’ll key on this uncoupled entry to get it done. (6) BIG Q shows up every once in awhile. Faced a tough Mama in her last two. Her Key Cents win would be awfully tough to beat today so we’ll include incase she comes with that run today. (3) NAKED AVENGER has a few races in her running lines that make her competitive but hasn’t been sharp yet this year. The move back in against NY Breds may wake her up.

$7.00 WPS 4 Cost: $21.00

$3.00 Ex 1,4 w/ 1,3,4,6 Cost: $18.00

Race 9:

First timer (12) KEPT WAITINGis very interesting. She’s bred to enjoy the Belmont lawn, and has two nice breezes to set her up for her debut. I like Castellano sticking around for the ride. Both (1) KISS AND RUN and (4) GIACOSA have similar running lines. They seem to pass tired horses through the stretch. We’ll look for one of them to climb into the exacta for a price. Mott is struggling right now and is calling on Johnny V to work some magic with (9) CRESCENT LADY. Her last looks like a public workout as she now stretches out to a preferred distance. Of the fillies that have already run, she looks like the most likely winner of the bunch.

$7.00 WPS 12 Cost: $21.00

$3.00 Ex 9,12 w/ 1,4,9,12 Cost: $18.00
