It will be a perfect day for racing in New York. Let's have some fun and hit a few races. We will be playing a pair of pick 3 plays that covers the pick 6 sequence. I will be locked into races 4-6 and Big Pete will be focused on races 7-9. We also will have our "Play of the Day" on races we would like to try and improve our bankroll on. We appreciate you taking a look at the write-up and GOOD LUCK.

Big Pete's "Play of the Day":

Race 1:

Miller is desparate for a win and drops (7) WILD UNION to the basement. He closed nicely on Big Sandy first time on it. He's got the for sale sign on him so I'm guessing they have him cranked up to make a good impression. Should stay clear of trouble from out there and Castellano just needs to hang on.

We’ll also use (7) Wild Union in R1 and try to crash in on a DAILY DOUBLE play.

Little Pete's Spot Pick 3:

Race 4:

2 yr old NYS Fillies to start the Pick 3. Most of the time you pay attention to the board close to post and see where the money shows up. We don't have that luxury. Pratical Joke was especially fast in his two year old campaign. I'll give his daughter (2) SHESAWILDJOKER the nod here. She was best of 49 breezing on the 3rd and Jose gets the call. Donk is doing surprisingly well this meet. (4) SARATOGA KISSES climbed into 2nd in her debut. I'm expecting improvement 2nd time out.

Race 5:

Not the best bunch of 3yr olds assembled here. (8) SIXTEEN TONS wants no part of distance, grass or slop. He only wants dry dirt at 6F. He gets just that today. Big breeze for this Now or never. (6) WARFRONT FIGHTER goes out for a new barn. His last three races may be good enough for this group. (7) FORGOTTEN MISSION showed speed in his prior races. Not many in here can say that. Maybe he forgets to stop today.

Race 6:

I think the extra ground will help (6) DANZIGWITHTHESTARS today. His 2021 debut was just what he needed to shake the cobwebs off. Lezcano takes over and this War Dancer should want this 1M distance. (10) BAR FOURTEEN wants the lead and there doesn't seem to be others that want it. Saez can nurse this guy along and try to save some energy for the stretch. Both (3) THE GREAT GAZOO and (4) FLINTSHIRE'S ROCK will both benefit the extra ground too. They should arrive fashionably late to the party.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:

Race 7:

I'll use two in here that exit the Pleasure Luck race. (8) LAURA'S BELLAMY just missed getting her picture taken and is a strong candidate to make it happen today. Irad tried to last but that extra 1/2 furlong may have been the difference. Shortens up for this. (1) TRINNI LUCK was facing winners for the first time in that one and just ran around evenly. I'm expecting a sharper start and Franco to be aggressive today. Rudy has had a little more time with her to make some adjustments. (6) VIENNA CODE ran well in the Mt Vernon and cuts back to her favorite distance. Worth a shot at this price.

Race 8:

(1) SCUTTLEBUZZ rewarded Rudy with a nice run fresh off the claim. They faced simialr company today so a Re-pete of that should be enough. I'll try (9) HALPERT in this spot. This More Than Ready showed speed in her turf debut going long and then won in the mud next out. She wants no part of the dirt and returns to the grass today with Jose taking the mount. She's been fast in the AM at the Spa. (5) SCOCCIATORE has turned it around in both starts this year. Moves back to face fellow NY Breds after beating open company in a fast time. Cancel returns and there is speed to target.

Race 9:

(4) MADE MY DAY gets the jock upgrade for his 2021 debut. He was just getting good before he went on the shelf. The slight cutback to 7F should give him some kick through the stretch. Keep an eye on Scocciatore in R8. If he runs big, (10) BRAZILLIONAIRE will be the main danger. Irad couldn't close the gap last time, but that was a more seasoned group. (8) JAKE ROCKS finished behind Brazillionaire in his first attempt on the lawn in a while. He doesn't win but Donk's barn is hot and Jose tries for the first time. Not a bad price to take a shot with. Falcone is winning this meet so (6) TRANSLATE could be the danger late in the game. Rosario is due to start winning again.
