The lifted restrictions in New York mean we finally get that wonderful crowd back to the tracks. We are excited to get back to Saratoga this summer, but focused on taking down today's card at Belmont. We will be looking to attack a pair of pick 3 plays that covers the pick 6 sequence. I will be locked into races 4-6 and Big Pete will be focused on races 7-9. We also will have our "Play of the Day" on races we would like to try and improve our bankroll on. Little Pete's "Play of the Day":
Race 3:
I was leaning towards the only 3yr Uncle Mo, Teetotaler, to beat her elders but she's out. Now we'll do a 180 deg and try the old timer (3) War Canoe to teach these youngster a lesson. This 8yr old moves back in against NY Breds and picks up Rosario. She's gone toe to toe with NY's finest throughout her career and finds a little relief today. Some decent works out of town should have her on her toes today.

Race 2:
Peter Miller has found the trip East to be tougher than he thought. He’s yet to get a runner in the winners circle in 9 tries. I think today is his day with (10) EQUAL MEASURE. She closed a little last time against better mares and now drops slightly. The move to Jose indicates that this gal is probably ready for a good effort and Miller wants a good trip for her. There is plenty of speed in here to soften VIP Nation and help set up a closer or stalker to come and get them late.
Both (9) Vip Nation and (5) Flashing Red are the main danger, so we’ll use them underneath.

We’ll also use (10) Equal Measure in R2 and try to crash in on a DAILY DOUBLE play.

Race 4:
I think this is the race where we will get a price. I will be including (6) Benintendi in here as the horse looks great on paper against this field, but I think will tire out late. (4) Nutsie should be lower than 10/1 come post time with the class drop and getting Jose Ortiz aboard and I like him in this spot. (5) Magnificent Chrome is my price play in here who is going to be coming strongly late against a tiring field and a good trip will make this horse a player late. My last play will be (7) Trash Talker with Irad back to the track and should be a forwardly placed horse early and I trust Irad to get any horse to the winner's circle.

Race 5:
(7) Malibu Pro looks great in here and I think will be a tough beat. I think Cancel will be able to work off a fast pace and be able to find the winner's circle. (1) Potantico is a horse I like to be on the lead early and if left alone I think this horse will have enough left late to run on with it. (5) Mubarmaj is my last play in here with Luis Saez going to be aggressive throughout and this horse has shown the ability to pass horses late.

Race 6:
(7) Flaming Rouge is getting more distance and going to be a very fast horse late under Rosario and a must play. (8) Black Sand will be just as strong late and the extra distance should only benefit this horse. (4) Palamos should be able to find a nice rail position early under Alvarado and a nice trip in here is what will get this one done. My last play will be (5) Quinevere who I think will definitely be overlooked in here, but getting back to grass and I think will be able to handle the stretch out. This race is going to be an interesting one late and I will put my money on these four.

Big Pete's Late Pick 3:
Race 7:
Sorry, no avoiding both favorites to start this late picks as they look to have it all to themselves. (1) ROSSA VELOCE may have the front all to herself today. If that’s the case, she will have a huge advantage over these fillies. Manny will try to put them to sleep early. (4) MAIDEN BEAUTY will not be too far behind. She wasn’t herself when she raced back in April and Dutrow gave her some time off. Her workouts in May indicate she is back. She must be tearing down the barn doors to get out on the track and Rosario just needs to hang on. She looks strong today.

Race 8:
The lightly raced (7) STAR DEVINE will attract lots attention but this will be no easy task. She’s bred to be a good one so today will either be her coming out party or just another NWX1 player. I’ll try to beat her with (9) PRINCESS FAWZIA. With two trips under her belt this year, it looks like she is sitting on one as Lezcano returns for Rice. She likes to stalk and come with her run as there appears to be enough speed to make that happen. (1) CANDY FLOWER could be the speed of the speeds. Manny will likely gun to the front early and fight them all off. Trainer is having a decent meet.

Race 9:
The likely winner is one of the two favorites. (3) LORD FLINTSHIRE shipped North in April and almost ran them down when facing NY Breds for the first time. A similar effort today will get her picture taken. (10) STRAIGHT SKINNY tried to close from the parking lot in his debut only to come up short. The outside draw may help Cancel steer clear of traffic and set up shop a little closer than last. Both are a must use and I can’t see anyone else crossing the finish line first in this one. We should get all of the 30:1 ML on (9) PRINCE OF JOY. He has shown brief speed in both his races and seemed to like the turf more. I’ll try to get this guy underneath to juice up the exacta. (7) TOUGH WORKOUT will finally get on the grass. In a race lacking speed, this guy may be gunned to the lead and try to hold on. He traveled to the Spa and posted a big bullet and now Rudy ships him back to Elmont for this. He’s a potential to go all the way up front.
